I really love your videos! Great production quality, fun stories and beautiful locations. It's awesome you get to get out there with your family and get to really see the country. Stay safe and watch out for bees, dude! 37 times is enough for several lifetimes. Looking forward to your next adventure!

Wow, thank you for the wonderful comments. They are truly appreciated. The memories of the bees and rattlesnakes are still very vivid in my mind, it was quite the day and documented in the fieldnotes of the USGS. There were bees everywhere. Up and to that point I never knew bees made hives out of fallen pine needles on the ground. Boy were they ever mad at me for stepping all over their nest. That's what I get for just looking at the rocks!🙄. Thanks again for watching the video.

@RockDoctorAdventures I didn't know they did that either! New fear unlocked. Out here in az I grew up with Africanized bees and those things will chase you for miles so I try to steer clear of all bees just out of habit.

I hear ya... Once they get your pheromone scent, you are the target! I ran into a swarm near Salome, AZ... got out to film and returned to the car immediately. They can hang on to the car at 65mph, at least for a little while. Bees are quite amazing.

Thanks and Thanks for watching. I passed your comment on to your former student who smiled from ear to ear. I think she likes being in the videos so I will include her more often. Rock Doctor son... not so much. He will only be seen in fleeting moments caught randomly on camera. As always, thank you for your support on KZbin and Twitter. I really appreciate all the shout-outs. Spread the word about the channel so we can get the sub numbers up. 😁 Please. All the best...

Great video! I love learning about the native tribes of these areas. I was curious as to the term CE for dating the pueblo site, what does it stand for and when is it used? Itraveled to Durango and Silverton in my teens with my family. I remember the beautiful mountains and the road down into Silverton was REALLY steep and winding. We also ate at a BBQ restaurant in Silverton that had been in Guy Fiere's show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I'd love to visit Colorado again to experience some of these other places.

Great question. The terms CE and BCE stand for Common Era and Before Common Era. They have been in use since the 17th century and are used interchangeably with BC and AD. No preference for either as I can tell. Some scholarly writings use the BC/AD abbv. while others use the CE/BCE. Durango and Silverton are spectacular locations. There is a lot of history surrounding both of those place. Ouray and Cortez are close by as are a number of National Parks and Monuments. Long weekend trips might be in your future 😁. All the best and thank you for watching and leaving comments on our videos. We truly appreciate it.
