Hi Jeff - I am one of those who really appreciate very much the content you provide on Civil 3D and when I need to look about something related to C3D - your channel is No 1 destination. I say that because I feel there is some important areas need your insights and spot light. Some of those areas include: surfaces troubleshooting and editing, interchange design and finally grading - waiting for your deep dive in those areas - keep going - you have a lot of fans.

@@josephvolpato Thank you Joseph - I already watched those videos many times - and they are as you mentioned excellent for intersection design - but not interchange design

Thank you Mr. Bartels for another great, organized video!! I'm looking forward also to the more detailed video about those payed items. That sounds verry interesting to use with the quantity take off and your (hopefully nearby future ;)) video about it will guide that workflow perfectly, as usual. Greetings, Tom

Hi Jeff, I always look for your videos whenever I have an issue. Your detailed explanations and touching on a lot of tools is extrodinary. You are the best teacher I have found on the net. Appreciate taking your time and effort to present these videos. Immensely benefited. Keep doing the good work. Is there one place to watch all your training videos?

Dear Jeff Bartels, Do we need separate code set styles for corridor and section views? Or can we manage in one code set style? Thank you and team for your valuable time and expertise.

Separate isn't REQUIRED but COULD be useful.

Personally, I choose to have multiple code set styles (one for my cross sections, one for my assemblies and section view editor, and then a couple for corridor display and editing) Trying to manage all of those items using a single code set style is possible, however it may present challenges if your sections, assemblies, section view editor require variations in labeling or stylization. In the end, your decision should be to do what works best for your projects and needs. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to add a slope arrow in the direction of flow since we don't have the ability to add expressions to code set labels?
@mitchellpaulus9246
@mitchellpaulus9246 8 ай бұрын
Jeff, I am using the code set styles and have a corridor with an assembly and offset assembly that doesn't always run parallel with the main assembly. Since the cross sections do not run perpendicular to the offset assembly, the link labels come in but it ends up with almost 20 labels. Does Civil 3D have a weeding functionality for cross section labels? This could help resolve a bunch of my labeling issues. This happens at intersections as well. I appreciate all your videos, so thank you!

Hi Jeff. When you want to apply the new point style you can also just select the corridor and change it style on the properties Data>Code set style to one of the other then right back again. No need to go into corridor properties and unselect-select the parameters and rebuild

Thanks Charlie - You can find my course using the following link - www.linkedin.com/learning/civil-3d-2016-essential-training/welcome?u=104 I think LinkedIn Learning removed it from the active library because it was recorded in 2016. That said, the fundamentals haven't changed. Fortunately, the course still exists in the library, you just need to have the link to find it! :)
