We stayed for about 5 days in Dharan for the yearly Dharan Run Event. During our spare time, we explored Dharan and its peripheries with our friends from Dharan. So, this is the Dharan we would like to share with you, the Dharan we explored.
From amazing food to friendly locals, Dharan is also a very holy site. The last fortress of the Kirat Kings, Dharan’s history, present day and more, this is Dharan for you.
And yeah, we met Harka Sampang too!

Whenever I see or listen to Dharan City, my heart fills with emotions and excitement. Dharan holds a lot of memories for me, as it is a gateway for all the Purbelis who at least once dreamed of being in the Gurkha Army. Dharan will always hold a special place in my heart.

I visited Dharan in 2017. One of the cleanest cities of Nepal. I swear, one of the toughest hiking I have ever done in my life starting my journey from Kakrivitta-Dharan-Gufa Pokhari-Dhobhan, especially traveling on foot from Dhobhan to Basantapur. I almost cried.
