Re: Space Mountain, that's because Space Mountain in Florida came first :) They had time to update it/change things for Disneyland a few years later.

I'm so envious. I first went to Disneyland in 1973. They sold pass books with the rides marked ABC. I have been back loads of times. Florida is good but not as homely as Disneyland. The Matterhorn bobsled ride at Disneyland was the first ever tubular roller coaster system ever built, every section of track was bent by hand and this ride is the most, rattle your teeth coaster, you will ever ride!

Magic Kingdom used to have the submarine ride when the park first opened but it was themed to 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. It was where Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is now.

I remember that ride too, the submarine looked identical to the one the guys were in, all sitting in a row. I remember going when it had closed and they had drained the tank/pool to fill it in

In space mountain they changed the ride cars (carriages) from side by side to one in front of the other to make it feel more like your riding a rocket. Also in Disney World it helped to narrow up the tracks as you have two separate tracks going at one time. Your making me want to take a flight out to California!

Space Mountain in Disney World actually came first and was always single rider row based on the Materhorn bobsleds. It was only added to Disneyland several years later- so they had time to rethink it when they brought it to the west coast and made changes :)

I love Disneyland!! And yes, the Matterhorn is Mount Everest. Did you know that all that golden parts of Its a Small World are actually gold?!!! Walt insisted on putting very thin gold sheets on it. His brother was not very happy when he went back and saw it, but Walt loved it. I find it very funny that when people who have been to WDW first go to Disneyland, they all say the Castle is tiny. But for us who first saw Disneyland Castle, and then go to WDW, we all say it’s huuuuuge!! Lol. Walt constructed Sleeping Beauty Castle first with lots of permit problems, that’s why he made Cinderella Castle bigger, he dealt with permits first.

I loved this vlog as it brought back so many memories of my trip there in 1980. I was so pleased to see the Storybook Land ride, as I remember going through the whales mouth on a boat but couldn’t remember the name of the ride. It’s definitely a bit different now though but as an almost 6 year old who didn’t know anyone else who had been there, it was all so amazing. Makes me want to dig the photos out at my Mums when I can. Thanks. X

The Space Mountain in Florida was built first, so when they built Space Mountain at Disneyland they were able to update and fix anything that did not work. Also the Disneyland Space Mountain is much smaller and to accommodate the same ride capacity per hour they had to double the number of guests in each ride vehicle.

You two are at your best when enjoying things together, especially Disney . Who new that 2 gay lovely guys would love it all ! 😍 . It's hilarious to know that although Nick is a bit cocky at times , he's also funny when he screams like a banshee around the rides . You can also see that he's like a Dairy Milk chocolate . I actually loved the comparisons to Disney World. I haven’t been to Disneyland since 2001 so I hardly remember it. Whereas I go to Disney World twice a year. So this helps me understand the similarities and differences. Right, this confirms I am booking a trip to Disneyland soon. Ha ha once when I was in LA we stayed at 3rd and highland at a days inn and the people in the room next door had a party at 0200 LAPD raided the room lol . It’s my fault we drove down from San Fran and arrived late so we saw 3rd and highland and I said to keith I’ve heard of this area so we stopped. In the morning I realised it was on lethal weapon . Rough as houses the area lol you’re staying in a palace lol have fun loving the vlogs x x
