hey you know you could just carry enough materials to build a camp fire, map stone, and repair smithy so that you always have a way back to base, and way repair your armor so that you can explore longer without all the back tracking.

You should always check your build menu every so often. If Kederk Builds had checked his build menu he would have seen that he could create an Uluhan Furnace and a Khuzdul Forge: the furnace would give him the recipe to make the Khazad Steel Ingots and the forge being what he needs to make the higher grade weapons. I understand the desire to make the first base you build your main base, but you should not do that until you reach late game. There are several areas to build outposts and a few to make a descent temporary home base until you get to the later game. I have to say Kederk Builds is doing an awesome job taking out those orcs with his two-handed sword. I would run away after I took a few of them out but I was using a one-handed and shield, so it would take longer to take them out.

Sadly the idea of the dragon doing favours for Sauron doesn't hold water. In the scheme of things Melkor's dragon's were like 10 levels above Sauron who was back in the first age just a lowly lieutenant of sorts and beneath Morgoth's dragons and Balrogs. One of the reason Sauron never involved the likes of the surviving dragon's in the Withered Heath is because if they got hold of the one ring, it would have been game over for Sauron and Mordor there and then. A thought is if what would have happened if Smaug, munching on Bilbo instead of chatting away like on a coffee morning, had gained possession of the one ring there and then how the whole thing would have changed for the worst for everyone.

You do have a town portal. Cary 3 black diamonds. Put down a hearth and a portal. You can alwYs use x to deconstruct the portal and base when you go back to them.

True but it's more than just the diamonds. Also need stone, coal and wood. I usually have most of those materials on me these days but having to dedicate 4 inventory slots to being able to get back to base and it requires building multiple structures feels clunky.

To make Khazad steel ingots you need to build the Ufûhan Furnace, which you already have the recipe for.

Teleporter scroll etc unnecessary. Just take what you need to make the camp hearth, a smithy, and a map stone. When you put the camp hearth down, you can place the smithy for repair and the map stone for a short trip home. You can also put down a chest if you want to temporarily store stuff. The camp hearth will show on the map, and may be subject to camp sieges though.

Now that I have the bigger backpack that's easier. I just didn't want to fill half my inventory up hauling stuff around but at this point I'm carrying most of it anyway just need to add iron and coal to what I'm already lugging around.

It's been a fun game but it does have some frustrating issues with inventory management. They are supposed to be bringing a lot of Quality of Life changes in the December patch that should resolve many of them.

Holding E when picking stuff up will pick up everything around you automatically.

Hey bud, I just discovered that the khazadul forge is actually a craftable forge. I spent so much time looking for it and eventually found out that it's a recipe 😅 feel foolish but anyways.

I'm going nuts trying to find the 4th axe fragment and i'm completely lost on how to continue the game, can't build the bridge because it requires a new hammer(Bridge of Khazad-dul?) the 50diamond one. I've already got the 5th fragment, defeated the boss, got Durins forge, everything fully explored :/ never know if it's a bug with the map or game or just overlooked a passage. Time to put the game on pause after 50 hours!

After you beat the boss you need to talk to Aric to get the new hammer for the bridge. Head back up to where you defeated boss and he should appear, wasn't there initially for me, I had to leave and come back I believe.

Doh, I really need to figure out what it keeps doing that. I was certainly expecting the base building aspect to be more central to the gameplay. I haven't touched my base in a meaningful way in quite some time. :)

Re: the Nazgul mounts, your guy basically just put 2 + 2 together. Those fell beasts you're seeing are the same species as those Nazgul-birds -- Fell Beast is their de facto name outside the novels (Tolkien never gave them a proper name). Your character just knows that a flying nasty that isn't a dragon, bred as a creature for Sauron is surely a Fell Beast, cause there aren't really any other creatures fitting that description. Presumably if this game had the rights to the film visuals, it'd be more visually apparent, too

33:45 changing game video resolution helps with the buttons... as a workaround. was annoyed by this as well
