Undoubtedly, an excellent tourist proposal for trekking lovers to schedule a tour of the El Retiro area.
Considered by many to be an abandoned town, there is still a very strong bond of love with its past. Some locals are still alive and return from time to time to remember stories of a time of splendour.
Through new generations many things are maintained, they managed to recover the church for example, which is included in a monthly schedule of masses and that still serves to give life to this place that belongs to the Department of San Blas de los Sauces and is located on the margin of the Colorado River that borders the province of Catamarca.
National Routes: 40 and 60 will bring you closer to this place. El Retiro, the name of this ancient town, is only related to how distant it had been from the rest of the towns in the department.
