Bratislava is rather small and not as touristy compared to other capital cities in Europe but it's definitely worth visiting, especially in summer. It has such a great, laid back vibe and those long summer nights by the Danube are amazing. I grew up in mountainous part of Slovakia where nights can get cold in summer so when I'm in Bratislava I really enjoy being outside at night when it's still really warm and restaurants are full of people eating outside. I love how relaxed Bratislava is. Slovakia is all about outdoors (we are obsessed with hiking lol) but it's nice to have a city where we can go and just sit down and relax sometimes + this part of Slovakia is one of the sunniest parts of the country so summers are just perfect :) I've spent one summer in Bratislava and I fell in love with this city I'm glad you've enjoyed your trip :)

We agree, it looks a great capital but overshadowed by other European capitals for the amount of exposure they get.

This was a sweet video. You are a lovely couple. I was baptised in the Blue Church this year, and am in fact also getting married there this December. It’s a beautiful church, but tourists can be quite rude when they disrespect Mass times, especially during the summer. Thank you for video!

Some of the prices, like at Urban, didn't seem "inexpensive" to me. Bratislava has the reputation of being an inexpensive city, is that still the case?

Prices are catching up with the bigger cities but you can still find food and drink much much cheaper than in this video. Just stay away from the tourist traps...

I am welsh but live in Bratislava and Urban is definitely expensive! The toilets are amazing, the decor is great and the food is good but it’s super expensive and the coffee is awful!!! If you stay off the min drag you will eat for less but the prices have really increased a lot over the last decade.

Why falsify history? Slovakia was created after the Trianon decision (1920), what are you talking about? I don't understand why a nation can't be proud of its own history without lying, even if it is short.

@@adamdemilaci He is trolling :D Basically, there is a distinction between "Kings of Hungary and "Hungarian Kings"" which is always forgotten. We are proud of our history within the Kingdom of Hungary, which was a multiethnic medieval feudal society in which Hungarians, Slovaks, Romanians, Ruthenians, Germans, Croats and others lived and would consider the history of the kingdom as part of their nations history(which is understandable bcs our ancestors fought in those armies and our artists contributed into the history too :) The thing is, nowaday hungarians consider it being only theirs, with that we have problem. Slovaks have existed for 100 years. Before that, there were Slavic ethnic groups only in the part of the Hungarian kingdom. A fictional identity with a fictional history. The point was the division of the Hungarian kingdom, nobody was interested in the Slavs. The Hungarians are slowly disappearing in Slovakia in 100 years, and there were Slavs in the territory of the Hungarian kingdom for 1000 years, then who treated their national minorities better?

I was baptised in the blue church and born in the building in front of it (former hospital). I'm glad you like it. Anyway, the UFO (on the bridge) is not a real name for it, it's only a commercial name from the company that runs a restaurant there. The bridge is called ''Most SNP'' (Bridge of Slovak National Uprising). We, old Bratislavanians call that ''UFO'' as Bystrica restaurant.
