The launch settings make me curious. I guess that's just a standard thing for that type of game? I definitely think they're secrets in there that were just not activating yet I keep trying to hit the ball out of bounds at the animatronics, trying to get the ball in their mouth or hit them in the right place. I'd like to think the helmets and the hats that you found under the golf maps are part of some sort of triggering system but I believe they were just there to help the devo remember which map they were working on when they were making it. Thoughs anyone? I'd love some feed back

When Sundrop turns into Moondrop in the game, Moondrop is hanging out inside the floor, waiting for Sundrop to fall, then Moondrop rises out of the ground, but when you are able to move around again, the Sundeop model is Unloaded

I'd bet the camera's so slow in the golf areas because they're technically really big, so the camera's actually moving at the same speed across a big area that just _looks_ small. You could probably test this by comparing how close you can get to objects before they clip through the camera.

I feel like maybe at some point there was going to be a sort of escape sequence out the front of the pizzaplex, which is why there is so much detail there, but then it was scrapped in favor of the comic-like endings. The endings were interesting, but I almost feel like it was rushed and cut short a little bit, because certain aspects don’t quite make sense to me. Idk, from a storytelling standpoint it’s a little funky.

Seeing all of this left out gameplay really does make you think what would the finished product of this game have looked like. Right outside the front door of the facility is a fully modeled road and booth which without a doubt was going to be used on either an intro or ending cutscene but because of time constraints they were left to these comic strips. The Afton ending must have been the only "finished" ending but clearly not gameplay wise.

Not an out of bounds idea, but a video I'd really like to see is a showcase of all animatronics and their animations. Like just putting a character on the center of the screen and spinning the camera arround it while it walks/sprints/attacks/etc. Idk why but just being able to peacefully observe the details of something/someone that would otherwise be chasing you is very entertaining.

Reusing assets whenever possible is a good thing. Every single asset you create not only costs time and money but also space on your users computer. Making these areas out of unique assets would have bloated the game even more - and it's already pretty hefty

all of the animatronic models, side from the glamrocks, and a few rooms for the mini golf game is taken from the help wanted VR game! i recognised the hole 2 stage as the main menu from it instantly lol, as well as baby peeking through the fnaf 4 closet (featured in the night terrors levels), and the hole 3 office is from the fnaf 2 level in help wanted (: makes sense since steel wool also developed that, but very neat to see it from another perspective outside of a single pov!

So apparently they did intend for you to have to play minigolf, and that you would unlock the areas by breaking the various traps on the paths, eventually both beating Monty’s score and breaking the course, causing him to bust open a path and begin to chase you, you going back in later (above) was to shut him back off, however like many other planned features it ended up vastly shorten and cut in the end, they left what they did have of the minigolf in as the easter egg game

I really enjoy the quality of the maps and these types of out-of-bounds and alternative lighting and free camera videos really show how, AT LEAST, the maps were put together with great attention. It really shows how video games are made by a team of people, a series of departments, and that even if the actual programing of a game isn't "the greatest", that doesn't mean other elements were bad.

The Blob is preoccupied... it's directly facing Afton's charging station, as if it knows that's exactly where he is, and is keeping watch to make sure he can't get away again

If you found a gaming capable computer with less then 150, it would crash even attempting to play a 15 gb game if nothing else was on the pc. Your hard drive space isn't just to hold things a lot of leway is needed for programs and and files that are generated while playing.

honestly it just needs to be optimized properly. that seems to be its biggest issue right now and why stuff loads incorrectly. I mean it does not need to keep enemies or doors in memory that it's not currently using. most games only spawn what is in your vicinity, this is true for Skyrim and other open world games. It's why the PS3 could run Skyrim and why even PS4 can't run Security Breach.

The re-use of assets and piles like that to make bumpy flooring is standard practice, but they could have scaled some up, or rotated them a little so they didn't look so identical, as a 3D modeler I have re-used the same shape several times to create hair but I edit the shapes slightly, it gets the job done.

Dude on the golf stage with baby, you have to look down by the elevator that moves up and down in the middle of the course. There's two pairs red glowing eyes down there and I'm curious if there actually heads down there or if it's just lights. Pretty please investigate this for me. Id do it myself but I play on PS4 so I can't use the debug software. You could also check out that weird platform and Roxy's raceway by the Glam salon. If you're facing the Glam salon up to the right there's a platform with a spotlight on it and a door the door doesn't look like it leads anywhere but I don't know I just like a better look at that and just the top of the mountains or whatever they are the rocks behind the building. Awesome video tho and I can't wait to see more!

I think i can explain the hat and the mic stand that appear on the golf stages Sun and Moon utilize the same model, but to swap between the two, a different skin is used. Both models have a hat, it's just that whenever Sun's skin is used, they move the hat below the stage and animate the little sunray things on his head to stick out. When Moon's skin is used, they move the hat back to it's position and animate the sunrays to be folded inwards and out of sight The Mic stand that Freddy has is always on his model, but in gameplay it's either shrunken down to be almost invisible, or moved below the map like Sun's hat

The hat was likely a leftover from when they made suns model out of Moons (Since we know Moon was modeled first) why exactly the hat still exists is a total mystery, the mostlikely answer is that it's a leftover from the idea that we were supposed to actually see Sun turn into Moon in the game.

The main reason that games like this reuse assets so heavily is for storage reasons. Imagine how much larger the game file would be if each tree/tire/trash heap had its own model that needed to be stored. It would be awful!

The more I see of the level design, the more I'm reminded of Bioshock. And its funny because in the Freddy upgrade sequences they highlight the parts you have to interact with just like you would see in Bioshock. Why couldn't they do that with all the other mission objectives throughout the game? Probably would have saved the players a ton of headaches, plus they wouldn't have had to hide everything in the gift boxes but instead left the collectible objects out plainly visible.

20:22 I think that hat is Sun's. I think Sun and Moon share a model, as they share a body. In the Sun jumpscare, which is a glitch you can die from, it's Moon's animation without the hat. Therefore, the hat would be hidden within, or under, his model. Or it could be an Easter egg for Eclipse, but I don't think anyone's sure if he's canon or not. Plus, it's out of view for normal gameplay, so I highly doubt that's the case.

Love this video. I didn't even know most of the places you explored in even existed. Also, I think these places would look a hell of a lot better with ambient occlusion, it gives a ton more depth and it doesn't necessarily need to have shadows.
