@@assassinviper83 I can understand unity, due to the technical limitations of 2014, but yeah it could’ve been more fleshed out and larger. Egypt was pretty impressive but I felt as though too much of the map was barren and empty. I agree with you on all fronts, especially with the origins take.
@assassinviper837 ай бұрын
Yes, I agree with you, but that was because they chose to do that, maybe because of the lack of confidence that the game will be a success. if they kept the real map of Egypt, like odyssey, there would be many interesting cities and locations they could show and use in making the story and adding activities, can't believe there is no Aswan, east part of Nile, also area of green mountain can't be in Egypt or Lybia it's al desert there , where are upper Egypt cities?? Where are Delta cities? Egypt didn't have only 3 big cities, Origins is great, but it could be turned to more than a masterpiece if it got the attention that was given to Valhalla

@samoerai6807the map of unity is almost 1 to 1 creation of Paris unlike other games such as AC origins like when you open the map it's downscale of Giza and the Niles
@DoubleU1596 ай бұрын
@samoerai6807 if you play Unity, the nortre dame will look the size it does in real life, same goes for all the architecture in that game. If you play ac2 or origins for example, buildings are just way smaller than they are compared to their real life counterparts parts. Next time you’re playing any game with a city building, stand on the roof and think about how small the area of the building really is in comparison to your character. Take Spider-Man for example, you stand on top of an average building and it really feels no larger than the bathroom in your house.
@frizzyrascal14936 ай бұрын
Unironically, Spider-Man 3, arguably the worst 3D mainline Spider-Man game, has nailed this down. The buildings look incredibly tall and huge while Spider-Man looks tiny and small. Insomniac couldn’t quite nail this down. Ultimate Spider-Man came close but that’s it.

Assassins Creed gets so much shit because people have certain expectations that aren't met, but people totally under-appreciate the worlds that they give us. There is no other game that gives us the worlds that Assassin's Creed does, and it gets completely overlooked in the criticism. People slated Mirage and said it was too short, and it was boring, and the story wasn't engrossing enough... but even if you believe those things, the city of Baghdad is incredible, just as is Greece, and Egypt, and Victorian London, and Revolutionary Paris; all games that have been heavily criticised for one reason or another. But who else in the gaming market is giving us that level of history and detail, and education? Real history and historical settings, architecture, art, and culture are accurately recreated for us to experience in a way that nothing else in history has ever been able to deliver, and I think it's amazing. People just expect it now and criticise the rest, but we should always appreciate their work because it is phenomenal. It's why it is my favourite series of all time.

They represented cultures with their features and historical detailes unlike all other media, wich always depicts the past as some gray, mushi mess where everybody covered in shit and wearing hides. You can just watch historians reactions on AC games, and how they amased about accuracy in details and overall spirit of the epoch

This is one of the better AC exploration videos I’ve seen. I personally like the faster pacing and don’t mind the lack of ambient audio. I would’ve liked to see more of Saint-Denis and possibly the catacombs included, as well as young Arno exploring the Palace grounds in Versailles because of the better graphics in Unity. Otherwise, it’s a great vid. I think it was a good idea to exclude the modern day and I personally like the way you portrayed England in 872 accurately despite the game’s ridiculous liberties when creating the environment. The guards at 11:05 made me chuckle a little. The fact you chose to use mods for Paris in 1944 A.D.(I never realized how big of a role lighting played when doing that mission) was also an interesting choice. I think mods could’ve even been used to add The Temple of Paris in 1307 A.D, but I digress. I can’t wait for _Shadows_ to come out to see what you make. Liked and Subbed 👍.

Don't know about the younglings and new AC fans here. But for me, there's nothing that can top my experience with Ezio Auditore and his iconic soundtrack. Coming home from school, sometimes even in the morning before school, and through summer while the other kids were walking around outside doing nothing, I was walking through Italy as a charming boy who didn't know better, who had to lose everything, who was thrown down a deep rabbit hole, who had to fight for answers and inner peace his whole life until he was an old man, meeting different people along his journey and becoming a wise man in the process. There was something magical about the early games that I can't really describe without formulating it wrong. But it was one of those things that shape you in your younger years and that's what happened to me.

The fact that Unity is 10 years old and still looks as good as present AC Games is nuts, no wonder the ps4 and Xbox were struggling despite being “Next-Gen” at the time. I wish the combat returned to that style, it was more challenging than the previous AC games (counter 1 time and chain kill everyone), but also better than the RPG crap we have now, were the weapon is more important than anything. I really liked how the combat was diverse, like you could pick to fight with a heavy, sword and spear all of them were viable.

You should add spinoff games like ac bloodlines in cyprus. The chronicle ones too.

the walking in 2d games will not fit into the video I hoped to add China, India and Russia they had great landmarks for sure but can't walk the same way in those games , the goal was to show the beauty of the world and architecture not just add everything

Black flag 🏴☠️ is forever my favorite among all. Just the storyline was so short and the visuals were not as beautiful as current engine, though I still love it
