I arrived in Fremantle on March 1971 on the migrant ship MS Australis (Ex SS America). I boarded the ship in Rotterdam. I made my life in Australia, a beautiful country indeed. I now reside in East Java near the city of Banyuwangi. I enjoy your videos. Well done and good continuation.

I ❤ Freo! It's a bit hipster, a bit artsy, a bit scruffy.. it has soul. Fremantle City saved/valued most of it's old buildings, but sadly, Perth City demolished many lovely old buildings in the name of progress.

A lot of the verandahs on the two storey buildings in Freo have been demolished and replaced with awnings, because the verandah posts interfered with motorised traffic.

Thanks nice vid. What struck me was the beaches are pristine unlike a lot in Bali. I am a South Australian, been to Perth but have never been to Freo. Will visit but for a long term holiday Bali wins. Beers 1/4 the price, cheap amazing food and the deal breakers are accomodation prices and the Balinese people and culture. Whoops forgot the climate. Never really cold.
