Japan is such a cool place - have always had my eye on Kyoto! The music you picked was perfect.

Great vlog! Don't forget that when you prepare the bed, the green side of the blanket must be out side☺️ Japanese people really care about the order of doing things and probably the hotel staff must want to prepare bed themselves. When you come back at night you'll see that it is prepared!

I’ve been binging all the Japan vlogs! They’re so interesting and beautiful! I’ve never been able to travel internationally but japan is definitely somewhere I’d love to go. I hope one day I’ll get the chance to!

Love the Japan tour but the videos seem so short! As always, you two are great!
@flyingthenest7 жыл бұрын
haha 10 minutes too short? We try to stick to the 10-15 minute mark to keep the whole video interesting :) but that is super kind of you to say though!

Chaya-gai at the beginning used be an entertaining district where rich guys had fun with geishas. Each house, or chaya, was run independently by one lady, or okami. Foods were delivered from spacial catering houses and geishas were dispatched from geisha houses, or okiya. The most of chayas were now converted to shops or tea houses in Kanazawa, but few of them are still in the traditional business.

Love your editing style! I went here last December and it wasn't as busy as this, but still pretty busy. It's much easier to get photos here on the way back through the orange gates / doors as there's less people walking through.
@MlleLowis7 жыл бұрын
Going through the 1000 doors I managed to take a picture without ANYONE in it, as it goes : I and three other random people just stopped and wait for the last person to go through for taking the perfect picture, it end up being at least 20 of us trying to get the best shot. I thought it was hilarious, then I've gone on the top of the mountain by another path (a ceiling of spider webs and creepy old Japanese cemetery)) and this wood sculpture guy welcomed me in his studio. Exactly a year later now, I'm still super excited about the walk I have been doing that day.

Wonderful video :-) Are you using your Sony A7SII with 16-35mm on Feiyu Tech A2000 to take this video ? Or just handheld or using Gopro to take.
@flyingthenest6 жыл бұрын
We didn't have the gimbal here so it'd all handheld
@eycf066 жыл бұрын
Great. Your video look professional without using Gimbal. I guess you use 16-35mm for the whole video ?

Amazing video as always! but I must admit that the group tour kind of kills the "Flying the Nest" authenticity. For example I'm sure that if it was only the two of you you would have gone to Fushimi Inari shrine very early in the morning in order to beat the crowds! As well, dinner would have been slower, you would have showed us more food and tasting reactions! Still loving it though :)
