I really enjoyed this video. I've not been to a Christmas market and this was so peaceful. Quiet music and quiet people all enjoying themselves. No screaming kids, and no rude, loud adults. Atmosphere is much more reserved than in America. Enjoy the holidays! 🎄🥰☮️

Yeah I have never done the crowds I don't know, & thought it was fun to wait in the heat for 2 hrs. for a 2 min.ride, $7.00 for a medium soda? Naw that was for the kids when young. My money is better spent elsewere these days. Like my turn now.

My heritage is German on my mother's side. I am a Roush (now spelled Rausch). This brought back memories of my family who have now passed on. The holidays are bittersweet for me, but I like to be reminded. To everyone out there who may be a bit lonely this time of year, remember who you are and treasure those lovely memories of happier times.

Beautiful Krefeld-Linn and "Castle". This is so romantic 😍, and the people are friendly too, a big advantage against the large Christmas Markets in towns like Duesseldorf. The prices are so reasonable, I couldn't believe it. I paid more here in the US at my Christmas Shopping this week. And of course, snow is a must at this time of the year. Bundle up GiV and mom, and stay happy and healthy 💖.

@@boutiquebabe He is right. Many cities in Germany stopped calling them "Christmas Markets" instead calls them "Winter markets" or "Holiday Markets" in order not to offend the muslim overpopulation. Same thing with butcher shops and open air pig meat sausage places. The smell of cooked or raw pig can offend the muslims so , they are closing them down one by one.

@@marksquires4836 Don't be surprised to not find an old castle and quaint cobblestone streets when you go to Krefeld city center. The old town of the district of Linn (shown in this video) is to be found at the south-eastern fringes of the city of Krefeld - so sort of in the suburbs. Krefeld does have many other pretty and quiet neighborhoods and pleasant parks, but the city center nowadays is pretty blant, as - like so many other cities here - it suffered from WWII bombings, non-descript post-war reconstruction, and nowadays the demise of stationary retail.

I didn`t knew they celebrate Saint Nikolas overthere, here in Belgium is a tradition also to celebrate Sinterklaas for the kids at 6 december! Cool man Germany with Christmas!
