It’s so beautiful how you show everything with no filter unlike some other fake vlogs that won’t show everything. I love how you’re so proud of where you’re from MaSha Allah

Salam! Im second generation Bangladeshi brought up in UK. I love your vlogs!! They are incredible MashAllah! Ethiopia, culture, food, family way of life is sooo similar to Bangladesh and gave me flash backs of my time back home with family! Tea! Visiting many homes! Men carrying my oversized luggage through crazy alley way! Adhan! Aunties feeding and catering to ur comfort! Sinks outside! Kitchen stove on the ground! U reliable electricity! Heat! Stray animals that feel like family! Strangers who r kind and curious to be ur friend! Islamic adab! Love love love!! All immigrants children will relate to this video!! The lives we live in western countries is sometimes so devoid of the organic humble soulful connection and wholesome food and simcere company

As a Bengali in Canada I felt the exact same way. Nothing quite like the family we leave behind. It actually just makes me sad to think with each passing generation we get farther and farther away from these beautiful places. Like will my kids ever visit Bangladesh on their own? Very unlikely. Even I wouldn’t without my mom. So sad to think of losing that connection to ‘home’ and our extended family

Ugh my heart is melting right now. This reminds me so much of home, Senegal. Everything is different and yet still the same in some ways. With the way the streets are, how the homes are built, the mosques literally being your alarm clock MachaAllah, the way we cook food, how comfortable you get eating from the streets, how close families are, the animals roaming through the streets, the way we eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner together as a family over a huge plate of food, and just the warmth. I could cry right now just thinking about it and I am so grateful for people like you that show everything and I couldn’t be more proud to be African. You truly don’t know it unless you lived it!!!!!! The hyenas tho, my soul would have probably left my body 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love love love this so much ♥️♥️♥️

Beautiful vlog, love seeing you and your family. I’m a regular coffee drinker and I have to agree about the Ethiopian coffee…the best I’ve ever tasted. My daughter’s high school friend is Ethiopian and her mother invited me for coffee. Black with no sugar…can’t drink most other coffee like that because it’s so bitter. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of the best vlogs, and Aysha is my inspiration in so many ways. My 6 years old daughter was learning about the historical places of Ethiopia last semester. When we got to the "Jugol Ginb" part, I asked her why Emir Nur built the wall of Harar. She said "ፈልጎ" meaning because he wanted to. She was like he is the Emir after all, why question him lol. I have the privilege of working with Harari colleagues. They are loving, outgoing, positive, hardworking and sweet people. I love the way they preserved their culture & language. Almost all Harari in Addis speak the language, and it is one of the most beautiful languages of Ethiopia. I am sorry that the current politics of our country is affecting them. But it is affecting everyone and will come to an end soon. I feel like I know Aysha’s dad. Of course, he is like every Ethiopian favorite uncle or neighbor we run into when our parents try to punish us lol.
