A great video of Helena. My fist visit to Montana / Helena was in June 1994. This visit was the result of meeting a fine lady at NTC Ft. Irwin CA. She mentioned that she was from Montana, so I made that first of many bust’s and love the State. To this day I remember her and never have forgotten her natural beauty and great spirit. Thanks…Ms. “M” Mi

Hi, Robert! What nostalgia this must bring when watching some of these same sights that were there back in the day. It’s very possible she has roamed some of these same streets and shops. I hope you are able to reconnect someday! Maybe even on this comment. Ms. M, reach out if you’re here somewhere!

Wish I had watched this before our summer trip (though Covid put a damper on it) to give us some ideas. Went to Carroll back in the early 1990s and took my family to visit for a quiet, away-from-everything trip this summer; stayed out in Winston. My youngest and I found your video on the Helena Chamber of Commerce website while researching the state for a paper he's writing on Montana. Now we are ready to visit again and try your suggestions including seeing if we can spy the wild horses.

Hi, Sharman - thank you for the feedback and note! I bet this has changed quite a bit since you lived here last. Helena is such a fun place to visit, although I noticed it's a bit more active during covid-free times. It'll rebound again this year. Neat to hear about your daughter's paper. Thanks again and welcome to our virtual community!

I’m trying to find a place to relocate my family to from Washington, and I think this video just single handedly put Montana back in the running. If this is the capital city…damn. Looks way more inviting than most of what we have over here!

The first time I saw it, I had to do a double take. 😅 It's really neat to see in person, but a bit out of the way to walk to. It's located at a busy intersection with a bunch of curious onlookers that are more interested in you looking at the helicopter than the helicopter itself. 😆

@@BigfootDadExploresMontana I'd say your video would be ideal for the Helena Chamber of Commerce! A far cry from the slide show I did a number of years ago for my home town of Gloucester, Ma. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r33ZlqmIZ8dmh80

Hi, CapeAnnImages - thank you for your kind recommendation. Lee, the guy that runs the tour train, was thinking something similar. I don't exactly know if it's up to par for that, but I may be in too close to see the potential. Funny enough, I saw your video you linked to above, a while back after you posted feedback on a previous video (sometimes I explore a bit 😁). I think it's completely fine and I can easily see your an excellent photographer! I did have to give it another watch yesterday.

@@BigfootDadExploresMontana Thanks for the kind words! That slideshow I made ran on a continuous loop in the city's Visitor Center for a number of years. They still might be running it for all I know. Your Helena video is so good I don't havta go there now! Just kidding. If you checked my channel you can easily tell I'm not good at it. My only time through Helena was on my motorcycle. I remember a billboard requesting people stop doing home abortions, followed by a stop doing meth billboard, followed by a find Jesus billboard. I never stopped and slept at a rustic campsite west of the city in the hills. Perhaps I'll give it another chance when I pass through again.

Hi, Seapr6. Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you feel that way. I believe this is prudent given the release date of the film correlating with the footage being displayed is not compliant with the city/state Covid guidelines. Most of this footage was obtained before public the guidelines were in place. Whether or not I agree with all of the guidelines is a separate question, but I do request that we remain sensitive to those that have been directly or indirectly impacted negatively by this pandemic. I hope this helps give you some perspective on why I chose to display this message and it is my highest desire that you and your circles remain safe and unharmed during the reaming part of the global trial.
