When my mom was growing up they didn’t have electricity so they kept their milk in a cold spring so it wouldn’t spoil. Every morning they went up the mountain to the spring and got their milk and a bucket or two of water to drink and cook with on the coal stove/wood stove.

There was probable a derailment of the train. They used to leave the stones in my area. The quarry tracks usually have some from years ago. Someone I met years ago had granite on their property.

When my brother and I were kids, we found a really cool hobo camp near the railroad tracks in the wood behind our farm. The hobos would hop off the train there by the river before the train got town so that they wouldn’t get caught hitching a ride. They had stolen some limestone slabs off the train over time and had built a nice limestone fireplace to cook on. The river had small trout in it to cook for meals. There were a bunch of blue enamelware cookware, utensils, and even an old telegraph line with blue insulators. I love watching you look for treasures.

I’m sure I’m behind in this aspect of your search quest, however was there ever any success with the heat seeking? drone? Any company’s willing to donate? I just think that they are super fantastic, and that you & Adam would be a phenomenal team to test a model for finding lost persons! It’s actually pretty light. Now obviously it’s heavier than a regular bmx but still easy to move around. My particular bike would be good for teenagers and adult. Small children might have trouble with it.

We have Ebikes, they are nice. I'm glad you got a free Ebike. They are expensive. If you ever want to be accompanied by myself & husband, we'll tag along to assist you. I wish I knew where to explore, like you do. I just want to explore, not even for the tresures. You and the shoes you wear... shaking my head. I looked up the Tate House, only an 1.5 hours away.
