Oh my goodness, how did I miss your video, even with the bell notification on!? Silly alorithm. Enjoyed hearing the donkeys and the story of the code talkers. Smart camping. I'm glad Mike didn't have to use the tent 😅 Thanks for bringing us along on your adventures, as always ❤

Incredible state park, what a nice place to explore and see the beauty of the open desert. It would be magical to watch the stars at night. Thanks for sharing such a nice tour and refreshing walk. 👍👍🏜💯📽🌄

That is such a cool park! It's great you can go to the observatory! I agree. The best sunsets I have ever seen are in Arizona. I have never seen a quicksand warning ⚠️ yikes 😬 Beautiful look around! Thanks for sharing 😊

I have stayed there twice! Great campground, fun area to explore. Close enough to Petrified Nat'l Park/Painted Desert. Nice video folks.

@@hikingoutdoorfamily They don't get enough credit. There are a few museums in New Mexico that tell their stories. We first learned about them in Kayenta.

Thanks for the tour! I have always seen the sign but have never stopped by--maybe in too much of a hurry to get to Grand Canyon! Nice, fresh looking campsites too!

Great campground for peeps that use solar. Nothing to block. Bet you can stay good and charged up there. Nice that it's close to Winslow. We stood on the corner a few years ago. It's a must do if you're passing through.

Such a desolate place. I wonder how the Hopi managed to survive there. Did they grow crops? What was their main food?❤😂

@WildHare-fb7ry they grew corn and beans but also used the cactus and other desert plants and animals (rabbit andfish). There is a river nearby.

Definitely some harsh landscape. Originally from Ohio, my family took a camper trip across country to California...going thru Arizona. Vast landscape changes as we traveled from the north east to and thru the south west.

We have visited them all. I was a traveling nurse for 14 years when Mike got an early retirement. We were traveling quite quickly but get to slow down for a couple of months.
