That is such a cool park! It's great you can go to the observatory! I agree. The best sunsets I have ever seen are in Arizona. I have never seen a quicksand warning ⚠️ yikes 😬 Beautiful look around! Thanks for sharing 😊

Great campground for peeps that use solar. Nothing to block. Bet you can stay good and charged up there. Nice that it's close to Winslow. We stood on the corner a few years ago. It's a must do if you're passing through.

@WildHare-fb7ry they grew corn and beans but also used the cactus and other desert plants and animals (rabbit andfish). There is a river nearby.

Definitely some harsh landscape. Originally from Ohio, my family took a camper trip across country to California...going thru Arizona. Vast landscape changes as we traveled from the north east to and thru the south west.

We have visited them all. I was a traveling nurse for 14 years when Mike got an early retirement. We were traveling quite quickly but get to slow down for a couple of months.
