I highly advise that you purchase separate octopus cards for transport because for example, the MTR does not register another entry for 10 minutes - unless, each of you are willing to wait 10 minute each until you can swipe again. Rest assured, the stored value inside is refundable should any of you guys have balance left. :) Enjoy HK!

It's a bit on the pricey end at Php 5K/night but it's very central (the location). And if you book waaay ahead of time, it can only cost Php 3K/night (via Agoda)

I'm glad you like it :) As for your question, this wasn't my first time there; I've been traveling since 2013 and mostly solo ;) Before I did this, I slowly eased myself into the idea of traveling by myself by starting on small trips nearer to home and then slowly going to far flung places. :) You can try this too and I bet you'll realize for yourself that other places abroad can technically be just like home.

Kristine Joanne Tigue I studied abroad in Macau last year, and decided to go to Hong Kong alone for a few days. It was my very first time abroad, and my first time traveling alone as well. It was a lot easier than I thought! HK’s metro system was easy to understand, and google maps really help. I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it alone, but I hardly felt any stress in actually doing it. I guess try not psyching yourself out is my tip for you.

It's near Kowloon park if you exit near the flamingos area and go over the bridge towards the coast line. :)
