The solar panels are offset/ reduce load on the small battery for the minor electrical components such as lights. The solar panels can't really charge the high voltage system.

Welcome to hk! U can also try E500EVs here, they are now regularly deployed on 6C And also, few of the K9Rs have been brushed with a lush green livery, making it 99% alike with the SG ones!

@contentdeleted382 No. The E500EV started operations on 112, and now 112 do have some EVs. However routes like 1A, 2, 6, 6C, 7 etc. are currently also deployed with double decker EVs. Moreover there are also single decker EVSs, like B12A and K9, which have been deployed on some other routes like 5A 8A and 203C.
