Exploring Incredible Leh: Thiksey & Hemis Monastery | Ladakh, India

When you arrive to Leh, the capital city of Ladakh in India, there are a lot of mesmerising places to visit close to the city. Once you feel acclimatised and rested enough you must plan to visit the beautiful monasteries around Leh which few ours away with a motorbike or taxi. Thiksey and Hemis are two of the best monasteries what this region can offer. Thiksey Monastery is just 19 km from Leh and should be your first stop while driving from Leh on National Highway 3. It is situated on a hillock overlooking the Indus Valley with full view of the magnificent Stok range. Hemis is another 25 km from Thikesy Monastery and 45 km from Leh City. The Hemis monastery is ranked as one of the wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh. Situated at an elevation of approximately 12,000 ft, the Hemis monastery is one of the most visited monasteries in India. Also in this video we visited Shey Palace that are ancient ruins close to Leh and showed you the beautiful vibe of charming Leh Main market. This video will be best for someone who's visiting Ladakh region for the first time and wants to visit Thiksey & Hemis Monastery.
