This kid gives me renewed hope in our YOUTH today.. To have such enthusiasm for something so uncomplicated as metal detecting.. I may be wrong, but i imagine he has a couple of incredibly clever parents who got him into this, perhaps to avoid other more nefarious pursuits.. I love his enthusiasm when he finds even the most simple of objects.. what a great role model for kids today... brilliant stuff!

+nuggetnoggin Im enjoying your videos. I like that we also got to see the person behind the camera. Ol' "Action Abby" as you said. I hope we get to see more of the two of you "hunting". It's not everyday you find a female companion that enjoys hunting and digging in the dirt as much as you do. And... She's a looker too. You should "scoop her up" if you haven't already. You two look like you'd make a perfect couple, but I digress. I really enjoy your enthusiasm for the hunt and the "finds"! In a day where most young ppl don't leave there rooms and only communicate on social media, it's refreshing to see you out and about on adventure after adventure. I love how you incorporate the Lord's Word as well. Job well done!

+LeafyIsBeefy Ur comment was totally uncalled for. U should be ashamed of yourself, talking to a young lady like that. It shows ur degraded mind. When u grow up, a lot, you'll hopefully figure out how to communicate instead of hiding behind ur device or computer and making inappropriate comments anonymously. I think they call that a "troll". Are u a troll named "leafy is beefy" or is that ur immature way of calling yourself the same "p" word that u said to +Megan Pierce? I'm thinking that's the case... Ur to pussified to actually use ur real name or address a woman appropriately. So I say again, SHAME ON YOU! U do know that this young mans videos are also a "witness" to his faith and his descriptions are a testimony to Salvation in Christ Jesus, Lord and Savior right? Maybe u should read them, repent, and apologize to +Megan Pierce for ur rude comments. Or not... A friend of mine and I found two bottle dumps where I lived in Lapeer, Michigan back in the late 1970s. One dump was from the late 19th Century to the 1940s, then the other was from the 1950s and 1960s. We had good hauls from both. I still have all the old bottles, one pair of spectacles and even a few early beer cans (including a cone top) that somehow survived our Michigan winters in my collection. You never know what you're going to find walking the woods!

***** You start sending cameras down old wells like that out in the woods you never know what you might find. Might be treasure. Might be a cold case file. You just never know what you might uncover. I do know one thing. Those old wells are dangerous and when they are found they should be filled in or at the very least they should have some warning sign or a barrier around them so unsuspecting kids/adults/wild critters don't find themselves at the bottom because they didn't see it.

If you decide to go down that well (I absolutely think you should), seriously watch out for bad air. There is probably no oxygen down there. I guess you've got your breathing gear you can use. I was also thinking a leaf blower with a long hose; move it all around for half hour.

I know you didn't film that today, iuts about 10 degrees here in South Jersey and the south got a shot from this one. Could you explain how with just manual labor they could build a well as deep as the one you just filmed. Do they dig the hole then lay the rocks in or just how, because they made it for water yet the water would have been higher then the well bottom and still the well would have been rocked in. Thanks, sure its a simple answer.

There's got to be a method as to how this old well was built, would like to know myself. I don't believe they dug it and then laid the wall from bottom up because it would be prone to cave in before, the bottom was reached, my guess is it must have been built from top down with stones set under top layer with the decent of the well ?

When looking for bottles, dig as deep as you can as the farther you go the older they get. I have found hand blown bottles that way. Apparently in 1900 they came out with a bottle machine so that was how they made them from then on. They all have a seem in them whereas the hand blown bottles do not.

It is utterly amazing how industrious our ancestors were. Most old wells like that didn't really depend on ground water (although it did help) but there was usually a gutter pipe ran from the roof to catch rain water. It probably was a cistern. The amount of work required to make that and the skill involved is admirable.. Thanks for showing it.

Always enjoy watching your video's . Such a positive and editable individual you are. Was good to finaly take a look down the bottom of that old well. All I could see was Oak leaves and dry rotten lumps of tree branch. If there is anything down there , it's going to be buried. But it's so deep that getting anything out there is impossible. We don't have Mason Ball jars over the pond here in UK/GB that I know of . But if that embossed Milk of Magnesia is screwtop , it's likely to be 1920's to 1930's . Might help to date the tip . I know you are going to be a lot now , and I expect more video's at the Bottle tip with Abby in tow. Bottle Dumps are super exciting. The joy is never knowing what your going to find next .
