Yes we are looking for places in Yamanashi, currently we reside in Akasaki but even its being built up. The hose is very traditional and worth every moment. As for the future vids, I would like to suggest Utsunomiya and Hiraizumi (you will need more than 1 day so lodging at Ichinoseki would be the best). Message me for more details as I use to work for NHK as a reporter.

It has the feeling of a fairytale, that at any time a fae, a yokai, or the fellowship will just walk into the clearing. This 4k release has been great company filling forms. It made it a quite adventure.

Loved the drone footage at 4:25. I wish I could have seen this live. You always find the best places to explore. I would have a hard time getting to torii gate because the stairs are so close together that i wouldn't be able to get my wheelchair up one step before hitting the next. I definitely want to add this to my "must see" list.

The beauty of nature is just breathtaking on video, I think I would suffocate if I ever went there in person. Unless I had seen this on video, I wouldn't believe that you hadn't photoshoped a picture to make it more impressive than it already is. The stone work, moss covering, the cypress and cedar trees, the pathway with light filtering across the walkway, this place doesn't feel like it's on this planet.

Love Norm's videos; I find that I always share his priorities of what to look at, where to look. I find myself wanting to turn and look at a certain tree or house or scene, and lo and behold, he turns and looks at it. Unfortunately, I'm too busy to watch an hour video, so here's a handy tip: Norm speaks so slowly and deliberately that you can actually set the playback speed on 2x, and it's still a laid-back, relaxing experience in half the time... :o)

I get side tracked too by the smallest things as well. I am so grateful for you for they way you do your video. This is how I would do mine as well I feel like I am walking with you. I also stop at moss, flowers, trees, to look at the patterns in the stone on the road. I will never be able to see Japan but thanks to you I have sat here for almost 5 hours watching you and it felt like 2 minutes. The mossball was amazing. Again thank you for taking you time to look at ever blade of grass tree river, Stay blessed and well. Again thank you so much

Norm! From The Anime Man's latest video I am led to believe that there are very busy areas in Tokyo and then there are areas of it that are almost becoming abandoned. Would it be at all possible to walk from one of the busy areas into one of the quiet ones, I would love to see the contrasting look of a place in Tokyo that is still lively to a place that has quietened down by a lot!

I am about 3/4 of the way through this video and I have to say how much I love all your walks. i use a treadmill for exercise as I have no place near my home to walk safely and your videos are great for that, Lots of that type of video on KZbin but they don't pan to the area around the trails. Who just stares at the path when they are walking ?? i am like you and my biggest problem when I am exploring some place new is which path to take first. Spider webs freak me out, especially when i don't know where the spider is. I love your chatter as you walk along as well. With covid looming all around us my husband and I don't get out and about as much as we used to so your walks are lovely to just watch and enjoy the beauty with you. it is very relaxing as you do all the walking for us. Much love to you and I am so glad I found your channel.

What a beautiful place to explore! The forest looked absolutely magical with that cobblestone path, and I always love seeing towns in the Japanese countryside. To answer you question about moving to these rural areas, I'd love to move somewhere like that, but my current work requires an internet connection, and I don't think my husband who works in IT would fare well either. I've often thought I'd love to have a farm though, with chickens and other animals, and growing things. My early life was in a sheep farming community in a small town. But I don't think that life would suit my husband either.
