I feel you with sizes. I live in the PRC and shopping here sucks. My shoe size is only available in men's section, which is mostly black with white soles. If you are a Medium tshirt in America you are an XL here. If you are an XL, now you are a XXXL. (stores usually stop at XL or XXL) Since it is so humid and hot, you need to shop a size or two rather than usual for the breeze. And oversized is all the rage, so it is getting easier to find clothing now!
