I've really enjoyed seeing Kazakhstan through your eyes. I'd never thought much about it before but it's so much nicer than I ever expected. Hoping that you'll show us more exotic and unknown places (and hoping that you'll return to my Mexico soon, too!).

As a kazakh I never been there, thanks for your sharing, and I'm shocked that except for Astana and Almaty other parts are somehow really different! maybe that is truth of this country. anyway thanks again!

True fact about tea drinking tradition, yeah it's a never-ending process if you're as a guest at someone's place, out of hospitality you'll be asked to drink a lot of tea xD not forcefully by no means, but just to treat you as honourable guest That how slow-paced life of nomads was way back then in the past in this country

I have watched your series about Kazakhstan. And I really loved it, your videos are different from other traveller's videos. Instead of telling just facts and showing places, you have also shared with your feelings throughout the trip and some valuable lessons that you've got. I really enjoyed it. It's just a pity that I've found it only now)

Oh yeah, especially people of southern parts of Kazakhstan. Probably they are the most friendly people in Kazakhstan.

I have heard that Kazakstan is really wealthy and that the average salaries are high from my friends that are from the former Soviet Union

Omg so not true. The average salary is 50 000t-60 000t it's 129-155 dollars per month.

Actually it depends on a region and profession. The difference between salaries can be amazingly high. It's like from $100 to $4000 per month. There is a big gap between poor and rich people.

Kazakhstan seems like a cool place to visit. I'm just sad in a way that visiting this country and spending money there you support an undemocratic ruler that locks up critics. And that supported you, Dan, to go there in order to make him more money by increasing tourism.

Well, the tourism there is gonna help the people too....I mean it's gonna help their overall economy and that's good for the people...plus if they wanna protest against their ruler then they can but don't you think it's better to do that with a strong economy than a weak one?
