Eynesford to Lullingstone. Best village, packs a lot in, a Weir, Norman Church, Bird of Prey Centre, Roman Villa, Castle, Manor House, World Garden, riverside walk, Viaduct, country park, lavender fields, and it's less than half an hour from London on the train!

Gypsy tart was made as a cheap easy food to make for the impoverished. It originates from the Isle of Sheppey.

So glad you tried gypsy tart! It’s actually made from whisking evaporated milk with soft brown sugar and then once it’s fluffed up you pour in a pastry case and cook in the oven for about 15-20 mins! It’s actually really easy to make and yes it’s hard to Place the flavour it’s definitely toffee or caramel and reminiscent of coffee too. I feel that the texture is light and airy almost moose like, glad you liked it though 😁

Dovorian here. The Museum you could see from your AirB'n'B is worth going around - they have a stuffed polar bear and the bronze age boat. The Roman Painted House is also well worth a visit - there is a real in-situ Roman building in the basement with wall-paintings. Gypsy tart is foul - they tried to feed it to us all the time at school.

Shepherd Neame Brewery in Faversham is the oldest in the UK still operating, est. 1698, its mostly known for its IPAs like Spitfire and Masterbrew and is the main supplier to most of the Pubs in that part of Kent. Gypsy Tart is something we got in Primary School for pudding and is an acquired taste which I don't have ;), its mostly a mix of milk and brown sugar, which gives it the toffee taste.

Hi guys I liked your video shame about the weather how ironic my antie Cath sent me a photo of me my older sister father, antie pat & her daughter inside Dover Castle from the early 1970s. I was there stopping with antie pat who lived in the centre of Canterbury. The photo was probably taken before my youngest brother was even born & he's just turned 52 I remember it as if it was yesterday, I seemed to think it was a similar time I went to Jersey twice in close succession happy days.

Two places you have to check out in Kent are Dover Castle as it is the most iconic castle in the UK because it signifies a thousand yrs of defence within the British Isles. The next stop you have to check out in Kent is Chartwell House in Chartwell Kent. This is the family house of Sir Winston Churchil former Prime Minister of Great Britain Another thing to try is a drink called Mead it is a honey flavoured fortified wine

Gypsy tart is evaporated milk and dark brown sugar. We where brought up on it. Better than birthday cake. You came to Faversham but never went to Makenade farm shop? That Tesco was in Whitfield, not in Dover, and we often have a meal in there when taking our daughter there to get pet supplies and shopping. Americans often comment that the UK has good bus transportation, but these have been cancelled in the nearby viĺlage where she lives and the replacement on demand minibus service is very hard to book. Local councils are so lacking cash they can no longer afford to subsidise as many routs as they used to.

Hi guys, kettle crisps do some nice flavours I only buy from morrisons when they are on offer usually half price, one of my particular favourites is walkers prawn cocktail flavour. A heads up avoid those new multi grain pringles there awful might be better off taking with some sought of dips. McCoy's crinkle crisps are nice. In the 1990s twiglets did a lovely tangey flavour, since discontinued, avoid the original twiglets. I tell you what else I like salt & vinegar flavour kp nuts blue bag that seals. Turnocks caramel bars pack of eight most supermarkets lovely. Chocolate hobnobs nice.

Okay, so you've come to enjoy vinegar on your chips... Do you like onions? If you buy yourselves a jar of pickled onions they're great, but wait there's more. Don't throw away the left over "juice" in the empty pickled onion jar. Put it into a vinegar bottle and put that on your chips!!! I enjoy malt vinegar on fish and chips, but the pickled onion vinegar give it a just a little bit more. Love your videos. It's nice to see parts of my home that I haven't seen for many a year. Mark

You didn't really spend enough time to see important places, and also that would give the weather a chance to improve (which it always does, provided you're not in a great hurry). For example, the castle - the best thing about the castle is INSIDE. And as an extra bonus, you can see right across the sea to France with the naked eye. If you're using binoculars, you can even see the houses.!!! Imagine going to the States for a couple of days, and it happens to be raining the day I arrive. Wouldn't be worth the air fare.

I lived in Faversham for a few years and have a soft spot for the place, Abbey Street is one of the most architecturally diverse streets in the country. Shepherd Neame (aka Sheps, or Sh*t and Scream) was founded in 1698, and they still haven't worked out how to make decent beer. Dover isn't the most inspiring town on earth, but the castle is something else. Broadstairs, Whitstable, Tenterden, Folkestone and Sandwich are all worth a visit, but so many places, so little time!
