Malaysia is a family friendly country... Malaysia is Travel Asia 101 for first timers, before you go to the more hardcore travel destinations. Many speak English. Nobody is out to get you or force you to buy. Malaysians are shy unless you talk to them first.

It's used to be my weekend spots when I was living in Damansara Heights, very near that area. U might find your search for self development books at a better book store in KL. My fav authors, so far r Tony Byzan, Zig Zaglar n Stephen Covey esp his bestseller, First Things First. There's a book that I will find later by Diane Darke, a very intriguing book called 'Stealing from d Saracens, how Islamic architecture shaped Europe'. 😁

Do u know that there's a philharmonic orchestra concert hall in d podium underneath d Petronas Twin Towers, if I'm not mistaken, I've seen videos of performances from d hall, n also been there few times. There's also a local theater called Istana Budaya in Jalan Tun Razak, but I'm not sure whether d scheduled performances resume after d lockdown. Of course, both of d above places r with admissions fee. 😁

However, once I'm back on holiday in singapore, all the forgotten words come back automatically, when I start conversing in malay with family and friends. Cakap omputih dengan kawan2 bukan melayu je, itupun menggunakan bahasa rojak singlish! Tak pernah nak gunakan lancashire accent, takut kena usik 😀

Your quest for local Malaysian fashion ends here : Padini Concept Store. It's a multi brand large store housing fast fashion apparel, shoes and accessories under the various in-house labels of Padini. Padini Concept Stores can be found in most major malls around KL (except KLCC) such as Pavilion KL, Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid and 1-Utama for example. Happy shopping!😊 P.S. 1-Utama is currently the largest mall in Malaysia and you may lose a whole day there. Besides the few department stores it has 2 cineplexes, a surf wave area, an adventure area for climbing, and even a rooftop Secret Garden (open only on weekends and public holidays). See you there!
