Exploring LEFKOȘA Northern Cyprus

Lefkosa is the northern part of the city of Nicosia, and is a fascinating place with so much history, both ancient and recent.
We stayed with lovely Couchsurfing hosts in Lefkoșa in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, and spent the day wandering around the northern part of Nicosia with our friend Vahid.
Unfortunately for us, it was actually May Day so most of the major sights were closed! We still spent a whole day soaking up the history and atmosphere of this incredible city.

Green Line
Arabahmet area
Notre Dame de Tyre / Our Lady of Tyre / Armenian church
and numerous beautiful mosques
