My journey into LORES was really special, I just wanted to add some info on the library here. • CONTENT: LORES features ALL NEW recordings, so nothing is recycled from other Evolution Series titles, which is a wonderful aspect as you are getting new textures and performances. • LIBRARY SIZE: The size of the library reflects additional mic positions that have been recorded. You have access to them through the STAGE CONTROL for each of the three main sounds, which give you DISTANCE as well as PAN. Again, thanks everyone for your amazing support.

Hi Simeon. Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of praise for your transcendent improvisation during this LORES presentation. While the words you sang were lovely, the music itself spoke most directly to me, as it so often does. I spent four and a half decades in the church - often in leadership roles, and though we went our separate ways a few years ago, I still have great respect for those who embrace their faith with passion and grace. Your welcoming spirit matters. Thanks for all you do.

Lores is my favourite new instrument in Komplete 14 Ultimate Collector's Edition. Unfortunately the upgrade to 14UCE from my 12S is a lot more monies than buying Lores for € 199.Or somewhere between € 98 and that whenever NI feels like discounting instruments. Oh, and I know I get much more than Lores alone. But Omnia and Piano Colours? Not as interested. But okay, there's also Arkhis, which I desperately want. The third reason is probably Cremona Quartet and with that Lores + Arkhis + CQ is more monies than my upgrade during Summer of Sound. Can't wait until june....

Hi, great video! You are playing good! Is there any possibility to connect that expression knob in the plug in to my akai mpk 261 midi keyboard? I only got a pitch wheel and mod wheel, but no expression wheel. i would like to route that knob to one of these many knobs / faders on the integrated mixer part on my midi keyboard. I had no luck with that idea and i try to find a way since hours
@PraiseTracks Жыл бұрын
For sure. Expression is MIDI CC11 but you might be able to right click on the control you want to assign and select MIDI LEARN CC, then touch the physical control on your keyboard to assign it. You could also get an expression pedal and connect it to your keyboard’s expression pedal jack. This way you could control expression with the foot controller and have your hands free to play and control the dynamics (modwheel) for instance. One thing I could see might be a problem is having the controller all the way over to the right hand side which could be awkward. Thanks for watching.

I so love your enthousiasm and clear explanation! Thank you! How do you combine piano with Lores at 47:07? Would I need a special keyboard for that? Or is it special software? I would be glad if you explained, I’m kind of a noob, just started with midi instruments.
@PraiseTracks2 жыл бұрын
Hello Liesbet. What I was doing there was linking two MIDI tracks together, one containing LORES and the other the VSL Soft Imperial. This is a feature of the DAW software I am using, and most also have a similar feature. You are echoing the incoming MIDI information from my keyboard controller and sending it to both track at the same time. Thanks so much for your kind words and support and I hope that this was helpful. Stay Joyful!🎹

@@PraiseTracks thank you for your reply Simeon! So you’re playing two midi instruments on your keyboard at the same time with settings in your DAW? @@PraiseTracks how's the cpu behaving? Pretty heavy? I might just backup some VI's I don't use a lot for now....
@PraiseTracks2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I did not feel that it was hitting the CPU hard at all. The thing that really throttles a CPU in Kontakt are heavy convolutions, granular, and “particle” types of effects, LORES main focus is presenting the authentic recordings of the performers which stand strong on their own. You do have some basic reverb and such but the golden ticket is in how well everything was recorded. The size of the library is due to having the multiple microphone perspective that is wrapped in the stage control. I will see if I can get some solid CPU numbers though so stay tuned.

I don’t think so, the sound sources are these wonderful evolving textures. I found myself being surprised when I would not move away from a note too quickly as there was always something that happened deep in the playback. Those types of things give these sounds life and motion, especially when paired with the other instruments and textures, they sort of play off and intertwine with each other.
@el-bov80342 жыл бұрын
Sounds incredible, and your playing is beautiful. But there seems so much movement and progression (phrasing) baked into much of it that I wonder how useful it is outside of very narrow parameters. I suppose it'd work if one composes TO the particular presets, or cut short the sutain before the )as you call them) surprises ;)

@PraiseTracks2 жыл бұрын
Well Dirk, this is one instance where Black Friday might not come into play. LORES was released without an introductory price, only the price listed. It might signal a change in pricing policy where they will come up with a price they think is fair for the long term and that will be it. Many companies are moving in that direction as many users who purchase a package at a higher price are sometimes left feeling slighted when a library is marked down an extreme percentage. We will have to wait and see what happens. But I am almost 100% sure that this will be in the next version of Komplete. Thanks so much for watching.
