John Gotti never got to set foot in this mansion. He was in prison by the time Victoria & her then-husband built it. It was never his home, it's Victoria's (who isn't a mobster). And she & her sons lived there very recently (check her IG), I don't know where you got 2009 from. Did you do any research at all? The show was called "Growing Up Gotti", she has 3 sons, which would explain the BB guns. Do you think REAL mobsters use BB guns??

I wonder if they killed someone or a few ppl on the property and put the bodies in those cars and dumped the bodies afterwards and brought the cars back on the property because they were using it for that reason and hadn't decided what to do with them. Also it's good to see that you went during the day because there would be no way in hell I'd be going there exploring anything at night. It would cost millions to get that place cleaned, fixed-up and livable! Toward the end of the reality show, Victoria Gotti put the place up for sale. She said she couldn't afford to keep the place maintained any longer. She said the place needed lots of work. It is a huge property. Lots of responsible and work to keep up a place like that. You would need a full time person just to manage the upkeep, maintenance, grounds, etc. Too many headaches.

A long time ago my mom somehow ended up selling one of our family cars to Gotti. She had to deliver it and it wasn't until she spoke to the guard at the gate that she found out it was Gotti. @@harry88james31 Both cannot and can not are perfectly fine, but cannot is far more common and is therefore recommended, especially in any kind of formal writing. Can't has the same meaning, but as with contractions in general, it is somewhat informal. In some cases, the not following can is in fact part of another phrase, such as “not only"; in such instances can not is the appropriate choice. This house was Victoria Gotti's house in Old Westbury Long Island, not John Gotti's. She moved out in December of 2020. I work for the lighting company on Long Island and I went to the property about 3 years ago because Victoria was interested in sub-dividing the property to build another house. There were two other structures on the property besides the main house and she wanted to demolition them. My company had to make sure those other 2 buildings weren't tied in to the underground electric system out on the street. At that point she was still living there.

The whole neighborhood always puzzled me - apparently the promised noise abatement walls were never built along this stretch of the LIE but there is the intervening service road which is just a busy all day and night. The cul-de-sac is lined with equally expensive homes (although this one is a tad vulgar) that would be worth so much more just a block or two north, away from the noise. Back in the day you could drive by the house & sometimes see “gentlemen” standing in the driveway & by the front door; I suppose living on this street was a blessing and a curse in that someone was always watching, but you also had a neighbor you would be loathe to cross, if only for the notorious connection to her father, who never lived here. You have to give props to Victoria, however, for doing her best to make a silk purse out of sow’s ears - she knew how to hustle and did her best to earn her coin to meet the bills, and although no Shakespeare, she is a fairly competent writer in her own right. Her novels were entertaining at least.
