I'm local here, me and my family started to moved and live in Putrajaya since 2012 from a mix-multiracial metropolitan city Subang Jaya. Been living here for 10 years now. In the beginning it was just only forest and empty lands, no night fun activities haha. it was super bored back then. Putrajaya is the federal administrative center for Malaysia. It is a place of work for the government official and also their resident (either in government provided housing or in nearby housing projects which they have bought a house/apartment). That's why it looks deserted because either the officials are in their office working or they have returned home resting. You don't want to be caught outside by your boss during the office hour, don't you? 😅 Compare to Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur is the economic center of Malaysia...that's why it is busy and we will be worry if it is not busy...😅😅😅

Probably they went here on weekends. During office hours or nights on weekends there will be lots of traffic. Or during big events, you have to squeeze in to get a parking spot. 😁😁

One of the best travel video on Putrajaya city! The lake is not 100% artificial though... the area used to be a large swap from which the lake is artificially formed.

If the air is clean without haze pollution, the sky will be bright and the rate of sun light penetration is very high. That is why the ground temperature is very hot in KL and Putrajaya.

Imo the extensive concrete pavings in many places contribute to the high mid-day temperatures. In fact many areas surrounding Putrajaya are also developing fast. If not for the many large water bodies and parks the area would be even hotter.
@AttilaAndZae2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that’s true. That’s likely part of the reason why the lake was implemented in the city, to help with cooling.
