so we got a bit better at bargaining while shopping, just not with the taxi drivers. we were honestly so tired that we just wanted to get home and sleep -- we definitely got ripped off. day 1 in Marrakesh was a success for these two American girls. lol honestly I had such a great time and know there is wayyyy more to explore in Marrakech and Morocco. if you read this far leave a comment that says, silver. okayyyy love you guys bye it's 12:59 and I I'll provably be up for another hour. while this uploads and I wonder if I'll ever have a normal sleep schedule ever again. also I am so not a cat person BUT these kittens were adorable. so much so we wanted to sneak them back into our hotel.

Hello guys Love all your videos. Just an advice for every tourist in Morocco : 300 DH (around 30€) is for a long trip not for local taxi. When he said 300 DH, please feel free to ask others and ask him to make the counter working. He was a real thief and should be controlled by the police

@@LayneFable just a tip , i know you are staying far from the city thats why you are taking a grand taxi , its normal that is more expensive than the petites ones . but dear , the grand taxi normally takes 6 people , so the price of the trip gets divided between 6 people , when its just the 2 of you you ended up paying the whole trip , (we call it Corsa when you pay the whole trip) but its not a necessary thing , normally you should stay next to the taxi and wait for the chofeur to complete the 6 places then you go , and not take it as a Corsa , that way its going to be much cheaper. any way iam glade you are enjoying your stay here , and you have got allot of Moroccans subs now if you need any help with prices or else just make a quick post in your channel community , and we will answer and provide you the information you need ...

sorry for our taxi drivers,they're thieves,so rude not all of them but most of them they r. they treat also locals from other cities like that but they don't achieve what they want with us haha,they made uber disappear from Morocco. it will be better if you take more time in Morocco discovering new places(Tangier,Tetouan,Housseima,Fes,Eljadida,Ouarzazat or Merzouga,Agadir...) I don't advise you to come at summer,best month to visit Morocco it's March)) except that I hope your trip was good and welcome to Morocco next time!all for love and peace))

Never Take a small taxi near the Train Station or a tourist place (just walk away to the next street) -Wave for an empty one, if empty ride then say the destination. -Never ask how much, there is a small counting (Elctronic/Mecanic) box near the gear stick, it's putted there for a reason which counting distance/Dh (Moroccan currency) so remind him to use it at the start of the trip.

The only thing I hate most about it is shopping. the price of an item is always multiplied by ten; you have to bargain well, otherwise sailors will swindle you out of your money whether you are a local or a foreign visitor. If you are in a situation feeling unsecured in every touristic site there is a police station or something similar just go there and ask for help by the way you got scammed by the taxi driver if you want to complain about him I have on camera plus he was saying some very bad word's stay safe and always ask for help u will be amazed by our hospitality 😘😘just a Moroccan mama wishing u the best luck

Today the 18th , the taxi driver is appearing on video on Marrakech online news sites (kech24) . He is apologizing and is asking Marrakech region governor to cancel his revocation from his job citing financial problems while having to raise a family with 2 children. Nice video as always 😀👍💛💛 next time you should visite the atlas mountains they are very close to marrakech you can see them from the top roof of any house because they are covered with the snow . Another thing I want to tell is that Morocco actually has two spanish cities they are called cauta and mellilia those two cities are in morocco and part ofeurope because of the spanish people that live there you can see that so many moroccans speaks spanish very well like the natives 100%😅 . I see that so many tourists do know about those spanish cities in Morocco 😀✌

@@LayneFable no there s no kumquat in morocco meldar is dilicious And and about taxi you Can rent a car it beggin at 10€ per day and raise depending of the wich car you choose for the waranty you use your visa card they just take a footprint of 1500€ ( some renters dont require that ) they dont withdraw this amount it s just in case of dommage They bring the car were you want airport train station etc alot of tourist do that you Can check thé liste of renters on rayanair.com or other sites Google Map works in morocco no need of such people For example in the neibourgh city of Essaouira in thé Ryad (tradional hostel ) the owner propose me a Friend renter and gives me his card he rent a car 40€ per day without the waranty of 1500€ you Can also ask for that in the hôtels were you are

well well well !! a lot to say!!! first " silver " Haha ;) !! second that was fun :D i like it !! third, yes about the taxi! here in Morocco after 8 pm the counter= counter+ 50% counter ( in summer it's after 9 pm) ! however you were in Jamaa el fenna and you get to your hotel! so let's say you needed half in hour ( 30 min) befor 8 pm it should cost you between 20 drh to 30 drh, after 8 pm it should cost you between 50 drh to 80 drh max) !! so basically he steel about 200 drh or more!!! As a tourist you have the right to go at the near station of tourist police and reclame it aand showing them the video so they can defined him! to get your 200 or 240 drh back! after that get in touched with the private taxi.. there in US you have uber .. here there are so many companies that they work exactly as uber with the same "logical cost" Yes i'm a Moroccan citizen and i hate people when they steel especially from the tourists .. see you in the next vlog :D
