😄 Ha! You two make me smile. What a nice Sunday morning journey to the pyramids of the Yucatan. So mysterious as well, seeing these massive structures and the size of the stone blocks wondering how in the world did they manage to move them. I remember seeing some of them as they were discovered and painstakingly uncovered back in the early 70’s. Like the ruins near Palenque. Today’s modern ruins like Toys R Us and Zellers, ….not so much. 😏

The fit between the stones is also pretty awesome inspiring. Pretty amazing to see in person. Happy to hear we brought a smile to your day Don! That makes it worth the effort!

well, a lot of bad luck interfering with your plans in this one... the pyramid at Chichen Itza is just so stunning and impressive and in near perfect condition! way too expensive for me though. I pretty much refuse to pay more than 100 pesos for any activity. Uxmal also looked very impressive and massive, but that pyramid was in more of a "ruined" condition. talking about the ancient people being shorter than us - you can still find the descendants of these people all across Mexico. in Chiapas for example I have seen dozens if not hundreds of people under 4 feet tall... some maybe as short as 3 feet. I feel like a giant. and even my Mexican girlfriend who is maybe 5'2" looks very big in comparison. well I am on the move again. last day in GDL. fly to Puerto Vallarta tomorrow and then back to Canada the next day for 2 months. praying that our insane world leaders dont release another virus or start WW3 while I am there because I really dont want to get stuck there...

We really enjoyed Uxmal. The pyramid there is called the magician’s pyramid and we can understand why - it’s pretty magical. Enjoy your time in Puerto Vallarta! That’s another city we love to explore. Fingers crossed your visit to Canada goes smoothly too!
