I really appreciate this conversation! I don’t know this brand, so I cannot speak to it. But in general this is my position: I understand when you are working in any specialty market, it can get boring and novelty can sometimes trump what will be appealing to many. Not that novelty cannot be appealing, but Dmitri you make a great point. I LOVE interesting or unusual smells. Some of them I want to wear, some I don’t. I think Bianco Latte is in part so popular because it smells good, and it has great performance, which makes it win over other great smelling vanillas. I would be happy to pay extra for a niche fragrance if it has great longevity and sillage, even if the scent profile can be had in mass market fragrances. I think people don’t just look for uniqueness, but also for quality and performance and will pay extra for that. Personally I don’t buy fragrances that only last 1-2h, like Jo Malone and a lot of Byredo. The performance lacks and the price isn’t justified IMO.

Nice point, thank you for sharing. Sometimes people follow somebodies advice or buy something they heard about (like Kilian or Tom Ford). The others are trying to find something more unique and so they care about the quality and performance. People have different requests from the very beginning but we always recommend to place your own feelings about perfume on the first place, rather then popularily and hype on socials, I think that is what niche suppose to mean🥰
