I like Middlesbrough. Have twice stayed in the Holiday Inn at Centre Square. A good mix of traditional and modern architeture. Th railway station is an impressive building; pity it lost its overall roof in the war. At least it's not full of tall tower blocks with more being added every year like Croydon, where I live is.
