I would also recommend asking for where you can eat Luwombo, a traditional dish of Buganda Kingdom. It is prepared in banana leaves which is sealed as a little package, letting the ingredients boil inside of it, and the oil from the leaves soaking into the foods. It is served as it is, you have to open the knot of the banana fibers, like opening a present. I prefer the version with goats meet or beef, but since you’re a vegetarian you can go for fish. Chicken is also available. Some are also served with g-nut sauce, but I like it better with its natural broth😛 Luwombo is the pride of the Kingdom cuisine😊

You need a real Rolex experience. What you got is a fancy version they have created for tourists. No one in Uganda talks about Rolex in terms of vegetarian or not, because it is never made with chicken or beef. And it’s never eaten on a plate with a knife and fork. You need to venture deep into the ghettos, find a wooden shack with lots of chaos going on around. It is served in a greasy transparent plastic bag with a paper bag outside of it. Once you get a taste of that, you can’t get enough😆 Also, you should really try Nsenene now before the season is completely over. Grasshoppers! They are very sweet and tasty😃 Yummy!
