Exploring Morality in Divinity Original Sin 2

Often games let you play around with some sort of morality system; usually this will net you some kind of in-game reward or special ending. Divinity Original Sin 2 doesn't have such a system, which makes every choice one that you have to make independently. If you aren't being told through prompts and rewards what the "good" actions are, how can you be sure you stay morally righteous?
