I was in Coorg and I was interacting with 8th grade kids. So, I was telling them about Alan Turing. Then I asked them that do you know what is LGBTQ? The kids told me that "Uncle India should legalize LGBTQ marriage". 90% of the kids had this opinion. The problem is that only those foreigners are gaining information about India who are studying history, political science and sociology in Western universities. What they read about India is books on Indian society between 1820-1920. These books were written by American and British sociologists with Anglo-Saxon bias and contempt for people of South Asia. They labeled people in South Asia as Hindoos with a double o. These foreigners then join Western media houses and spread hatred against India. The most valuable Irish company is Accenture which is full of Indians and Catholic women from Kerala have ended up as nurses in Ireland. But, Irish intellectuals are calling on Irish government to fight against Caste System and Islamophobia in Irish IT sector and Health Sector. Western intellectuals have no clue about India of 2024, it's people, it's constitution, its political systems etc. Also I think every society was backward in the period from 1820-1920. 2020s India would have been better than 1950s UK for Alan Turing and many British politicians in 2020s are sorry for what happened to Alan Turing in the 1950s.
