EXPLORING new REMOTE estuary…..UNBELIEVABLE!!

G'day everyone!! Welcome back to the channel!!!
Today I'm super excited!! First attempt at jacks this season and ended up being the hottest session chasing these red toothy buggers that I can remember (in Australia).
I am still shaking from the action I had on the water that day! I had other footage ready for this week but that will have to wait!! I couldn't wait to share this adventure with you all!!
What makes this session even more special is that I was exploring a new remote and hard-to-get-to skinny saltwater creek with relatively bad conditions (moon, temperature, etc) so my expectations were very low...but the fish clearly did not care about that!!
Another very cool fact about this session is that I was finally able to try the glide baits on jacks here in Australia and the response from them was UNREAL!!

Awesome mate! Beautiful jacks in some nice looking country. I sometimes wish i could do this type of fishing but im not game enough to kayak anywhere along the coast in NQ 😬. Mangrove Jack sure do put the terminals to the test hey!

Haha thanks mate! Yeah I still can’t believe it! It has instantly become my new favourite estuary! I can’t wait to see what this place will bring this season!! I went back 4 days after filming this video and caught a 40cm jack 15min into it 😅 still working out tides, etc…

Nice jacks mate! They sure do put the terminals to the test hey. I'd love to chase these guys in the kayak but im not game to paddle anywhere near the coast up here 😕. Cheers for the video mate! 👍🎣

Thanks Jake! Yeah I know, jacks off a yak up your way aren’t an option!! Over here, in SEQ most creeks are overfished unfortunately…chasing jacks in creeks usually means lots of hours on the water for very little reward…to successfully and consistently find numbers people travel 3-4h north where crocs still aren’t an issue but jacks populations are much higher. So, for me to find this little paradise of jacks fishing so close to home…I still can’t believe it! Haha such a great place! And yeah these guys definitely test your gear!!

That was a fun one to watch, I really enjoyed it. I've always fished with smaller lures max 80mm but after watching your videos it's proven to me that they are not afraid to attack a bigger lure. Thanks for sharing 🤙

Thanks Mark, yes, I feel like my trip overseas during last Xmas was like a Phd in jacks fishing. I was able to try different things and see how they reacted to them. If it wasn’t for my experience over there I probably wouldn’t have had the confidence to throw glide baits at them in the creeks…but it does work! And the most important thing is that not many people does it, who’s good because the fish haven’t seen it yet
