Love that Place! Gull Harbour/Hecla Island is a great place to go as a family. So much to do and the food and atmosphere at the Lighthouse Restaurant is amazing! Thanks Jay for featuring this location. Brought back so many good memories!

Hey Jay I just wanted to let you know that I religiously watch your video and CSO and I live in wi and I fish the Wisconsin River which is an amazing walleye fisheree !!! We had a very mild winter and I tried drop shotting for the first time in my life and the results were beyond amazing first of all I had people coming up and asking me what I was using and no one could belive how amazing it works !!! I was out from noon till 5 pm and limited out on my 15/16 inches and I also got 2- 25" , 1- 25 1/2 and a 30 1/4 all in 4 ish hours !!! Once I got my 2nd one my confidence went through the roof with drop shot rigs ( not to mention not one person caught a thing ) if you could somehow send me some info on different ways to tie up drop shot rigs I would be very grateful and I love your videos and how you break down all the different ways to catch Walter's!!! Drop shot is an amazing way to catch monsters and all very new to me because you know how fisherman always go to the confidence rigs so it was weird at first because my head kept wanting to go back to my lindy rigging but I stuck it out and the payoff from staying with drop shot was beyond amazing!!! If you do any type of give aways sign me up for drop shot plastics and I would love to try some of your amazing looking catch and cook... BTW the 3" powerbait absolutely out fished live bait by 10 to 1 !!! Please let me know more tips and tricks for drop shotting if possible!!! I gotta say I'm a single parent with full custody and placement and I want to teach him how to use this way of walleye fishing!!! I had to take off fishing for a couple of years due to an accident at work so this was an amazing experience for my first open water in years !!! #monstereyes

BTW between you and Clayton have absolutely opened up my mind to trying things that i don't normally do that old adage if isn't broke don't fix it !!! To add one more thing I had a frickin monster musky on and it broke my damn st.croix rod right in half thank God for the warranty!!!

Jay you gotta settle a debate for me. My fishing buddy and I tend to fish for northerns and jumbo perch. What is the ethical thing to do when a northern completely swallows a treble hook, so that the hook disappears into the stomach? He says cut the line and let it go. I say no way that fish can survive.
