Parnera Hill is located in Valsad, Gujarat, India. This hill is home to the Parnera Fort, which was built in the 16th century. The fort has been ruled by various dynasties, including the Marathas and the Mughals. Massive walls and Ruins of forts still remain today. Within fort ruins, there are some temples built on top of the hill. such as the Shree Chandika Devi Maa Temple, which is a significant pilgrimage site.
Parnera Hill offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, making it a popular spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The trek to the top is relatively easy and provides a rewarding experience with scenic vistas.
Parnera Hill’s varied ecosystem supports a range of bird and butterfly species. Common sightings include various types of warblers, sunbirds, woodpeckers, owlet, myna, finch, parakeet, peafowl, and raptors shikra and Honey-buzzard.
