The Prague Zoo (officially the Zoological Garden of Prague) is a zoological garden in the lower part of Prague's Troja district, opened on 28 September 1931. It is a contributory organization, whose founder is the Prague City Hall. It is a zoo with modern pavilions and exhibitions, which tries to present animals in conditions as close as possible to their natural habitat, which is made possible by its rugged terrain. It is involved in the rescue of many endangered animal species and maintains worldwide studbooks for some of them. The breeding of the Przewalski's horse has gained worldwide fame; since 2011, the conservation project Return of the Wild Horses has been implemented. In October 2021, the Prague Zoo became the recipient of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums' highest award, the WAZA Conservation Award, for this project and for its long-standing contribution to the rescue of the Przewalski's horse. Historically, this is only the sixth time that the world's highest honour for zoos has been awarded.
As of December 31, 2023, the zoo held 6,298 animals in 703 species.
It has long been the most visited zoo in the Czech Republic. In 2011, the 1.3 million annual visits mark was surpassed for the first time. In 2009, the zoo even became the most visited tourist destination in the Czech Republic. In both 2018 and 2019, it was the third most visited tourist destination in the Czech Republic, after Prague Castle and the cable car to Petřín, according to CzechTourism. The zoo was the third most visited tourist destination in the Czech Republic.
In 2007, it was ranked among the eight best zoos in the world by the prestigious Forbes Traveler magazine. In 2015, it was ranked 4th among the world's zoos by TripAdvisor users. It subsequently rose to 5th place and maintained this ranking in subsequent years.
In 2020, it was the only European zoo to be among the 4 finalists for the prestigious WAZA Conservation Award. The WAZA Conservation Award recognises WAZA member organisations for their outstanding contribution to the field of nature conservation and biodiversity.

I remember we walked here for 7 hours 12 years ago but we couldn't explore every corner. Rather favourable conditions for animals and visitors are created. There are a lot of benches people and shelters for zoo inhabitants to hide from heat and noisy people. But it's huge and It requires some days to visit it properly🔥♥️🖐

Когда был в пражском зоопарке, наверное больше всего впечатлили жирафы. А вот от вольера слоников шел запошек. Еще позабавили суслики или сурикаты, которые только проснулись от спячки, и в состоянии "чисто я в понедельник с утра" стояли и грелись на солнце.

Ha az volt a cél, hogy megmutassuk, hogyan lehet háromnegyed óra alatt végigrohanni ezt a hatalmas és gyönyörű állatkertet, akkor a cél teljesült. Nagyon sajnálom, hogy nem láthattunk az állatkertből sokat, csak a tömeget, mert alig állt meg néhány üvegnél. A walking tour nem azt jelenti, hogy a kamerát magunk előtt tartva rohanunk. Egy állatkerti sétát elsősorban azért nézünk meg, hogy láthassuk az állatokat, nem azért, hogy láthassuk a készítőt, hogy ott volt.

The goal was to walk through the zoo! And if you knew English, at the beginning of the video I said that I was very unlucky and upset that because of the heat many animals were absent from their enclosures.
