Nothing like the Malls of the 80s and 90s. Didn't matter what the weather was like outside and you didn't have to spend much money to have a nice day. People that celebrate the demise of the American Mall are a special kind of mean. I would never celebrate any business going under.

Good vid! I was there again last week and didn’t see any action on the redevelopment. I assume it’s on the way. Thanks for posting.

All these abandoned malls were the first sign that price stability had been so badly damaged by the propaganda farce that had been perpetuated by the monetarists, then accepted and turned into horrible fiscal and monetary policy by stupid neo liberal politicians. The Divergence between income in terms of wage units and investment in terms of wage units is so massive now that it is highly unlikely that any kind of current brick and mortar retail will survive. The coming economic depression will be so severe, that unless the minimum wage is increased to $43.96 immediately, it would take 32 years to recover, and that is if the M2 money supply is reduced by 1 million dollars every 80 seconds until it reaches 6 trillion. The dollar is so devalued by this ineptitude that the United States may not survive unless something is done immediately to take back all the wealth that has been stolen by corporations and the wealthy.

That mall was built in 1960 Now across town in the mid-seventies was Columbia Place Mall is that still in business or is that gone to?
@crazyadventuresandreviews Жыл бұрын
I think so, I want to get video of all the malls in Columbia cause I don’t think any of them are doing well. I think In next few years most of them will be shut down.

The original mall was from 1960. This is the replacement "new" mall from 1988.

Oh heck you should have seen back-in-the-day near Chicago evergreen plaza The very first indoor mall of its kind. Right by the old Chicago neighborhoods of Beverly and evergreen park

One thing that I wish all dead mall video creators would do is provide old pics or video clips of what the mall was like in its hey day. Also a history of the mall would be good too.
