Such a great video highlighting many of the beautiful places to visit in Richmond ☺️ Definitely worth going back to do the Easby Abbey walk when you can as it’s a beautiful area of the town to discover 🗺️ The building above The Batts was Richmond Lower School, part of the main secondary school (Richmond School) located further in on the main road coming into town from the motorway 🏫 First years (Year 7s) would start at Lower School for their first year before moving up to the main school. Part of the building is now used as council offices, however, some sections remain derelict and have been subject to vandalism/general weathering over the 11 years it hasn’t been in use unfortunately 📆 It’s still a magnificent building to see as you’re coming into town though ☺️
