Exploring Sancheong's Hidden Rural Gems: A Beautiful South Korean Experience

This was the last trip for this year's Rural Supporters. We hope you enjoy the video!
The weekend of 21st - 22nd was dedicated to the last trip from the rural supporters program. Pretty sad it finished however I had a lot of fun during this time.
This time we went in the southern part of Korea in Sancheong - 산청.
You can get there by taking the bus from Seoul for 5 hours until the terminal.
During the two days we had a great schedule:
1. Donguibogam Village (동의보감촌)
The first theme park in Korea with a focus on herbal medicine is Donguibogam Village (Sancheong Oriental Medicine Theme Park), which opened its doors in 2005. Traditional Korean medicine required that the five components of the universe served as the basis for the design of this theme park. The village uses environmentally friendly materials for its many designs and props.
2. Namsa Village (남사예단마을)
A particular traditional village in Sancheong is Namsa Village.
A well-known location in Namsa Yedam Village is a 3.2 km long ancient mud stone wall that has been recognized as a National Registered Cultural Property (No. 281). It was chosen as the “most beautiful village in Korea” in 2011.
3. Herbal Foot Bath Experience (허브 족욕 체험)
Visit the facility for a foot spa experience for just 5000 won! There are two rows of foot baths with hanging plants in the center. The entire arrangement was effective in creating a peaceful atmosphere. In addition, tea and aloe were given to us to use on our feet following the foot bath. The personnel exudes warmth and welcome.
4. Uisin Bear Village (의신베어빌리지마을)
Bear Village is an ecological tourism facility located in the small mountain village of Uisin in Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province. It was established in 2009 and is situated deep within Jirisan National Park.
5. Maeamje Tea Garden (매암제 다원)
The first commercial Korean tea plantation, Maeamje Tea Garden, began operations in 1926. There are teapots a thousand years old in the museum attached to the tea house!
