Kristy, the larger red pepper that many Filipinos call Labuyo is not the real Labuyo. It is actually that small pepper that is the REAL Labuyo. It amazes me that many Filipinos do not know this but it's mostly lowlanders who make this mistake. I was born and grew up in the Cordilleras and that small green pepper was all we ever used. 6:50 That is the real Labuyo. People often mistaken Labuyo to Thai Chillies but there are clear differences that is easy to spot on. Thai chillies (or Bird's eye chillies) are longer and has a pointed end. While Siling Labuyos (wild chillisare shorter and kinda round. Just like in this video. If one can't tell the differences on appearance, just know that Labuyos are hotter than Thai chillies.

Kawayan boat, we call it balsa in some part f the North. The small chilli can be grown anywhere in the Phils., either backyard or sa pot. It is hotter than the labuyo. We can call it native sili.

Hi Kristy. Regarding the magpupungko beach, during high tides, the sea floor you were walking will be submerge. It was lowtide when you visited the area. Thus parts of the beach will create “pool” like effect.
