I've been going to Tenerife for 18 years plus & only got into the Northern part of it in the last six years. I'd been doing music for t.v. , web & film , and was a bit overworked, so the first i went to Santa Cruz was with a friend from Los Cristianos. They usually have some great music festivals and fantastic art & cultural events towards the gallery side, which is called TEA (yes, spelt like the beverage 🍵). There's lots to see & do here, and the Bono Buses go from outside of the SuperDino supermarket in Los Cristianos. I think (last time I went there, was in jan 2020) the fare is approx €5.80 or slightly less if you buy the Bono Via card and use that, which you can top up at the kiosk nearby. Set off early if you want to shop & eat, as the buses can take 50 minutes to get there. The main depot ( & various stands) is opposite El Corte Ingles, as in the vlog, which is similar to Selfridges in the UK; it has seven floors of top notch everything, with a food court & starbucks at the bottom. It can rain in the north of the islands a bit more so than the south (I've been en route & the rain was pouring through the open skylight on the bus!), so a packable jacket is a smart move. Hello. A great video. I live in Tenerife, in the area of ​​the capital Santa Cruz. This part of the island is very different from the south. The south is where it is always hot and with little rain, so many hotels and tourist attractions were built there. The rest of the island is where most of the inhabitants live. The north has a cooler climate and is usually rainier and colder in winter and hotter in summer. The most populated part is Santa Cruz and La Laguna. Both cities are urbanistically united so they are practically a single city. Here in the metropolitan area that includes several municipalities we live more than 500,000 inhabitants. In this part of the island you can find Tenerife's second airport, the government buildings, the island's main cruise and merchandise port, the largest and most important hospitals and the university. The prices here are cheaper. There is more competition and more stores and supermarkets to choose from. La Laguna was the first capital of Tenerife and the Canary Islands. Later, due to the port, Santa Cruz grew and it was decided to grant it the capital of Tenerife. In La Laguna there are the most historic buildings and Santa Cruz is somewhat more modern although there are also many old buildings. La Laguna is like the old part of the city. To get to know the true Canarian lifestyle, you have to visit the capital and its surroundings. There are many beautiful things to visit. Architecture, culture, monuments, museums, parks and also nature, beaches and forests. Many things that visitors who do not usually leave the most touristy areas of the south miss.

The auditorium appeared in an episode of Doctor Who in around 2018 or 19, recognised it straight away. When we were there in 2019 the rocks forming the sea defences around the auditorium had painted portraits of famous musicians, many bearing a great likeness, though the sea has probably washed these away by now, This video show the more modern part of Santa Cruz city centre, the northern half of the city centre has a completely different vibe with narrower streets, some pedestrianised with pavement cafes. The Parque Garcia Sanabria with its avenues of tall palms and fountains is a great place to chill out on a hot afternoon. If you go there make sure you find the floral clock. So much to do in Santa Cruz, it's impossible to show everything a a couple of videos.
