Next year's Camino del Norte will be my 2nd effort, this time solo for reflection and enjoying nature's beauty. Last year's Francés was too hectic, the destination rather than the journey.

yep, It can be a trap that we can all fall into - The Norte is wonderful - will you divert onto the Primitivo? I loved that section - I did the full Norte and then later i went back to do the Primitivo - wow it was wonderful - my fav and i was alone also which made it a different experience

​@TheGingerVicar-iu4mb My next year's Del Norte will probably be my last hurrah. At the ripe 'young' age of 74, my hiking days will be continued on our Te Araroa trail here in Aotearoa NZ. My brother and I have completed about 1/3 of the 3000km. Our wives give us 3 weeks at a time off for good behaviour, enabling us to manage about 300 odd km over quite rough terrain with packs of about 12kg. All fun and games.😎🇳🇿
