What an amazing experience. I was quite mesmerized by that temple too. People go there to find peace. You can see the contrast between that premises and right outside the traffic that brings you back to the thoughts of work, bills and other things to worry about. That host was really good and took you to the temple to make sure you are blessed. Eating after you is also a sign of great respect towards the guest. You got more than just an AirBnb.

The most unique aspect and you touched upon it. You felt it I guess. The people are devoted it it because it's a temple which has been consecrated to house their God. We are a living civilization, the people around still worship it like they did when it was built for the purpose it was built for. So it's not just a site or a relic, it's living in its purpose. In the north sadly most of them are destroyed and now are run like historical sites but those are also supposed to be living temples for devotees not just visitors

Guys, you would do better with acquainting yourself with the basics of Hinduism and Hindu temple worship. Then you wouldn't be making comments like "they are waving a fire and everyone is touching the fire, etc." It comes across as condescending. Temples are not tourism destinations, and if you want to visit you should have some basic understanding.
@TheRoamingPickelsАй бұрын
Hi, we didn’t film inside the temple out of respect, and many people watching our channel have likely never witnessed worship like this, hence we tried to explain it in a basic manner that hopefully anyone could envision. We meant no offence and acknowledge that we are not experts in the matter, and apologise if our actions have come across as condescending as this is never our intention.
