Thanamir is a beautiful village of the Yimkhiung Naga tribe. It is situated on the foothills of Mt. Saramati under the Pungro subdivision, Kiphire District, Nagaland.

Please don't make a mistake by turning this place into a tourist spot or else this place too will become a victim like the mawjymbuin cave in Meghalaya where the Hindus at first go there for visit as a tourist and later on they wanted to transform it into their place of worship so beware of foxes .

The village is in the football of mt. SARAMATI under Pungro subdivision, Kiphire. It's a Yimkhiung tribe village and yes the weather conditions are cold because of the Saramati Mountain🗻
