Also carney hospital and nashoba valley medical center in dorchester and Ayer mass are now permanently closed. I suspect they’ll be abandoned soon or potentially even now. However I would assume they’ll have power and be secured.

Great video JMASS!! These buildings would be perfect for adaptive reuse similar to the storage building. I have a friend I explore with sometimes that is a germaphobe and he hates even touching a rusty piece of metal. Keep up the great work!

NOTICE: For my fellow explorers who live in or near mass and if you are wanting to go to Fernald state school, do so. Security during the day is virtually nonexistent and there’s still 20+ buildings to explore but I’m urging people to hurry because last time I went (2 weeks ago), construction crews are up front near the admin building and I hear they’re planning on demolishing the campus in its entirety to build some sort of amusement park by 2025.
@j-mass3 ай бұрын
Such a shame that they’re planning on demolishing that place, it’s a piece of history that should be preserved rather than erased and forgotten!

Been going here often since 2016. Have a couple of videos and pictures of the north western part of campus before it was demolished. I walk my dog there during the day still and have a few lil Easter eggs I’ve left that I’ve seen in a few peoples videos now. It’s a shame the town won’t just turn it into a park. I heard it’s going to be apartments and maybe a golf course.

In my town nature reserve/river there are abandoned bunkers from some war just sitting in the woods with their doors wide open, I find it so cool how buildings lost in time can be re-explored by people like you so that others can learn as much as they can about it before it’s gone
@j-mass3 ай бұрын
I absolutely agree! I think historical preservation and documentation of sites like these is paramount, as they will likely not last for much longer. Also, any chance you’re referring to the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge WWII bunkers?

Filming yourself breaking the law by trespassing inside private property is one dumb thing, but telling the entire internet of its name and location so idiots can go there and get caught or get hurt, and or destroy the place... what do you think will happen when Norwich PD ask some kids who go and either vandalize the place or get hurt? I bet they'd say i saw JMass go there on KZbin..
