I'm so proud of my city after watchin this video and hearing all those compliments that you said. You can literally come again here just to eat and drink, and then catch a flight back to Brussels for just 18 euros.

Thank you so much for the kind words!!!!! Banja Luka's such a cool town. It's not huge like some of the other cities we've visited, which is something we loved about it. The people were so kind & friendly to us. Just about everywhere we went, people were striking up conversation with us & what brought us to BL. We were like "cheap flights with Ryanair!!"🤣 Hopefully this video inspires more people to find & book that flight because it's such a fun place. Thanks so much for watching!!!

We really did love our time in Banja Luka. We stayed for a week & really tried to find restaurants/grocery stores/neighborhoods we enjoyed & we were able to find all of them. It's amazing to us that more people don't venture more into that part of the Balkans, & it's a city that we'll never speak badly about. Everyone was just incredibly kind to us the whole time. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video Miky!!!

I almost cried when you passed on Serbian food in favor of "Pizza". There are so many fantastic Serbian foods that will blow your mind that I hope the next time you have a chance to eat these foods - do it.
@ProbablyLost2 жыл бұрын
Ya know, Hannah & I have talked a ton about getting pizza rather than something more traditional & DEFINITELY regret it. We actually got a lot more traditional dishes while we were there but we just didn't get it on camera. We absolutely loved our week in BL though. It's got so much to see & enjoy, & the countryside is the next thing we're hoping to explore! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!

@@metabalcanico I don't want to get political but from my several visits there and being with my relatives, virtually no one thinks of themselves Bosnian or Bosniak. They identify as Republika Srbska from a state perspective and Serbian as an ethnic group. The link to the other federated part of Bosnia is very loose.

I am Croatian, I was born in that city. I and all members of my family were mercilessly expelled by Serbian nationalists. Strangers will often be pleasantly surprised by the kindness. But there is one thing they don't know: Serbs have a folk proverb that reads: "Be nice, the man is a Frenchman." In the last fifty years, the Serbs brutally tortured and killed about fifty Catholic priests there. Banja Luka Bishop Franjo Komarica continued to help them and distribute humanitarian aid. That is why he was even nominated for the Nobel Prize. My family had an old oak forest stolen from my grandfather. There are a lot of crazy people out there. Don't walk alone at night.

In april, BL is propably the prettiest. 48hrs is just about enough to see everything you need to. I suggest walking around the city, going to Kastel fortress, checking out Vrbas river and obviously you need to check out our cuisine. Restaraunt are cheap and I suggest Kazamat, Mala stanica, Integra (14th floor) but any will do. You can also just drink coffiws around the town because thats what we do
